Lindsay Loser does it again!
Lindsay Lohan added new elements to her story about how she crashed her rented Porche into the rear-end of a semi-truck in California. After saying that the 18-wheeler cut her off, the actress claimed her brakes didn't work when she tried to stop the sport car.
Adding twist to the extended story, the "Machete" star said she was informed that the brakes were replaced two days before the wreck. As for the "truck cut me off" tale, she reportedly still stuck to it although the truck's driver has strongly denied it.
The truck's driver named James has also gone to press to share his side of story. He claimed that Lindsay was "flying" on the highway and there's no way he could cut her off because he was already in the right lane when the accident occurred.
He also accused her of trying to bribe him, which she denied as well. "Him and the guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media," he told TMZ. "... They packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, 'Don't mention the bag to the cops'."
The accident happened on a coastal highway near Los Angeles on Friday, June 8. She was on her way to the "Liz & Dick" set with a male passenger back then. They were taken to hospital "as a precaution," but none suffered serious injuries.
The black sport car, which she's in, had significant damage to the windshield and front of it. Police is approaching the collision as an "accident investigation," since neither Lindsay nor the driver of the truck was believed to be driving under the influence.
Soon after the accident, Lifetime which developed "Liz & Dick" issued a statement, "First and foremost, we're concerned about the well being of Lindsay and anyone else involved in the accident. Lindsay has been doing fantastic work on the set of Liz & Dick and we have no further details."
Lindsay herself was back to work after being released from hospital.
