After waffling for a week about how and when to get involved in Libya’s civil war, critics are increasingly asking if America’s engagement in the nation’s internal strife is worth it.
At a time when we’re trying to wind down our engagement and financial involvement in the quagmires that are Iraq and Afghanistan, the National Journal reported that the costs in Libya are already piling up. With a final tab that could reach several billions of dollars – which would require the Pentagon to ask for emergency funds from Congress – the initial stages of the bombardment of the country’s air defenses could cost coalition forces between $400 and $800 million, with just the first day of bombing in Operation Odyssey Dawn running up a $100 million tab for the U.S.
The price tag rose higher on Tuesday, when a $30 million American F-15 crashed overnight injuring two soldiers.
By comparison, the National Priorities Project reported that the war in Iraq was running up a tab of $255 million a day, or a bit less than $1.8 billion a week.
With anger among some members of Congress about the administration’s failure to get authorization for the Libya action first and confusion about what the end game is in the military action – or who, exactly, the rebels are and what they want – questions are being asked why there wasn’t more public debate about plunging the U.S. into another conflict in the Middle East?
Is the action in Libya worth $100 million a day?

Where do you think our Government will get the money to pay of it's Debit? Answer, your savings accounts, 401k's, your death benifits from insurance, and if you stash cash in your saftey deposit boxes, or gold at your bank, they can size that too. Well there you have it, BIG BROTHER at it's best. You better be going to Walley World, or your local feed & seed and start buying things to plant a grow your own food.
Americans (I'm not) look back at your history. Did wars cost economic prosperity or did they cost lives and limbs? Economies are reset by wars, maybe in a positive way or maybe in a negative way. The real cost is in people terms, money is just a very flexible and extensible construct which is some sort of lubricant of the economy. You might as well ask "Is the war in Libya worth so much oil, which is used to power and lubricate all the machines?"
Isn't it wonderful that all our gov. has to do is crank up the funny money printing presses to pay for this and all the other wasted trillions to date. Sure is comforting to know that our welfare is being destroyed for generations to come by undermining the value of the dollar to a point of no return. A word of warning, dump you dollar holdings and convert to CAN loonie or Swiss franc, for the U.S. is going to file bankruptcy once again, and the once powerful reserve currency is soon to end for U.S. dollar. You can only drain the piggybank for so long, and the federal reserve has been covering up the fact they have nothing backing trillions in debt, never mind the billions being printed every month to keep this sinking ship afloat. Our days are numbered economically speaking, so be prepared.

The money they spend on wars comes from our tax and country's resources at our expense. The profits they derive from the uses of our military and the weapons we pay for, goes directly into their vast (off shore) accounts.
They already have vast wealth and power, so much so, that they no longer use their own wealth to conquer and take the wealth and resources of other nations under the guise of benevolence and goodness. They are neither benevolent nor good, but it is the kind of propaganda they are assured by the best psychologists and sociologist money can buy which directs them to utter through their privately owned multi-media conglomerates.
They are like a 'Cabal' with the 'Midas touch' and the magic of hypnotism combined, because everything they put out in the media is easily believed by 'Americans'...

Attacking Libya under the guise of benevolence to an African nation is disingenuous on so many levels (for anyone who really knows how African-Americans are disrespected here), it makes the enlightened among us wonder how anyone can believe that kind of claptrap. That being said. The question of whether 100 million is worth dumping on Libya in the form of bombs is a loaded question. The wealth gained from building and using weapons is formidable for the owners of the industries that produce war materials in which taxpayers pay for. The loss of taxpayer wealth goes to the (Elite in charge) two-fold. The people of the U.S. get very little trickle down profits for the tax wealth spent on the profit made from conquering and taking from an Oil Rich Country. Only the Super-Wealthy Elite have the Golden Goose in this and all 'Manifest Destiny' scenarios.
Lastly. When you realize that there are powerful forces hiding in the shadows behind a political facade, you should understand what Mr. Obama and most politician's roles are in this whole super-con we are victims to. You should look at what they say and do in a different light and be assured that they could care less about your well-being, let alone the well being of people in other countries.
Politicians are notorious for lying to people in their face! I say that they should be subjected to lie detectors before taking any official positions to serve the citizenry of our country. (But alas we are still under the control of powerful shysters).
I say that the corporate multi-media has been primed to tickle and ply us with stories that we are predisposed to let wash over us. Don't believe the hype from these actors and beauty pageant mannequins.
We are unable to stop the onslaught of the elite's 'Manifest Destiny'. Sadly.
