True. I agree we have come to rely on them too much. Of course, some programs were always meant to be permanent (FDIC, Social Security, Housing Act, etc.), and that's fine. I do think it is a good thing for the government to increase the overall standard of living and quality of life. But they must do so within their means - that's the problem *I* have with it all. I still don't think there's any sort of socialism at play in the U.S., though.

Conservatives believe in the rule of LAW, liberals believe in green energy and the ends justify the means... and FEELINGS so they rarely play fair, cheating is ok in their world view.

It seems that when a progressive tweaks the noses of a RWNJ by showing what they post they get bent out of shape. I left 2 options for conservatives in my question and one for progressives. I find conservatives can give it but rarely can take it. Notice no name calling, stupid cartoons or anything else in this reply, only fact. P.S.Edit the body and correct poles to polls.

It's been my experience that having drunk the Kool Aid or being indoctrinated over the years, Liberals simply can't fathom that you might have opinions that don't dovetail with theirs, and assume you are confused, not that your judgement and decision-making processes simply work differently and better than theirs.

Being an Independent and not biased towards either side, I HAVE noticed this to be true. Its annoying to try to answer a question that does not give an opt-out. It distorts the entire poll.

That is the only real way they can feel good about themselves and that is to talk down about someone else and leave no room for another idea.

They are just dicks that way. It is in their nature.

Very few liberals like facts; they get in the way of thier beliefs.

The RWNJs here often don't give opt-out answers, so I simply don't participate in those. There are probably some left wingers who do the same thing. But both sides do this.

Being a liberal I have seen question after question that conservatives have posted that are identical to your view of liberals. So, it must be both.

What I have also found is that conservatives have blocked me because of my opinion and their fear of losing a debate.

The only way it will change is if we can get publicly funded elections to rid the corporate management of our political system. Then maybe we can get the country that we all want. LOL... The nice thing about that is that we don't have to falsify the number to make them appear as we'd like them to be. Conservatives are always manufacturing propaganda to support their BS.

I'm thinking of one well-known Conservative here who NEVER gives more than Y/N options. Not giving an opt-out isn't restricted to one political party.

Otoh, when you give an opt-out, you often get more of that than of direct answers, which may dilute the force of what you're asking.

Just fyi, you mean "poll" not "pole." That's either a long rod (telephone pole, for instance) or a resident of Poland (Pole). And I think you meant "whining" not "winning." What you wrote basically says that Liberals are winning with their rods. I don't think that's what you meant. And it detracts from the force of what you said -- in fact, it was darned funny.
