Liberals Fall For Satire Piece, Think Romney Wants To Ban Tampons. Are Liberals gullible?

The so-called War on Women meme liberals and abortion advocates have been pushing against pro-life advocates and presidential candidate Mitt Romney has jumped the shark even further.

Now, as the conservative Twitter watchdog web site Twitchy reports, liberals are now accusing Romney of wanting to ban tampons. Here are a sample of a few of the tweets Twitchy found today.

* “did I really just hear Romney wants to eliminate tampons bc it’s unnatural for a woman to shove a foreign object up her!? #goobama”

* “romney wants to stop sellin tampons bc its “unnatural for a woman to insert a foreign object in her body to stop the menstrual flow”

* “Hey Romney why don’t you sit in your own blood and filth for a few hours and tell me why tampons should be illegal”

It turns out that the pro-abortion activists upset with Romney fell for a fake “news story” on the satire news web site Free Wood Post. As the folks at Twitchy note:

Once again, the liberal brain trust has bought into an absurd hoax. This one appears to have started with a satire article published months ago at the Free Wood Post. The site is headed with the tag line “news that’s almost reliable” and has a satire disclaimer right up at the top. But for many GOP haters, this quote was too good to check.

When liberals are up against something or someone for which there is no obvious logical defense (Romney is a man who has no outstanding flaws, having been good and honest, charitable and successful throughout his life) they will accept as fact almost anything they are told. How ridiculous the tampon claim here is. These are not the people we want to choose our leader.

These are people who believed and posted about the article featured by a popular magazine about the blind, hairless moles of the Antarctic whose body heat could be raised so high, they literally melted tunnels throughout the frozen areas, living very successfully in the minus 40 degree environment where nothing else could exist. I was oohing and aahhing about such a fantastic animal...until I glanced down at the right, lower corner of my PC monitor and realized,-it was April 1st. ((~.^))...wink wink...'blush'...

Let's be honest.. everyone is gullible to a degree. :) The more we WANT to believe something, the more we will. I don't care if you're a liberal or a conservative, but.. I will say the more extreme one is, the more believable the unreal will become. And to those who do believe stupid stuff like this... remember, look before you leap; you're the one that looks like an ass when you dive head first into a rant about something that never happened or isn't true. Research it and think.. come on, why would someone running for the highest office in the country be even thinking about tampons? Whomever even started the rumor is sick and needs to get a life.

I have also heard that in order to reduce the deficit that Obama has figured out that a 25 cent tax on toilet paper would be a good policy.
The EPA has also been having a toilet paper counting device installed on every dispenser with an alarm that goes off if you use more than one square.

I heard on the 700 Club that Big Bird has been successfully investing money for a long time. I don't remember the amount, but it was a lot. I hope the 47% takes the challenge, and improves their lives.
