What makes a person a Christian is believing in Jesus and trying to obey his commandments, not being a conservative. I make mistakes just like all Christians but am trying to get more serious about my faith. I don't doubt you're a Christian just because we disagree on politics, so please don't do that to me.

I am for early term abortion being legal, against homosexuality because the bible says it's wrong, but I do not think it's the government's place to regulate what people do in their bedrooms. That's the key to libertarianism. We can say something is morally wrong to us without desiring that the government regulate it.

I'm a Christian who actually goes by just the Bible and questions preconceived notions that many other Christians accept without ever thinking about. I'm sorry if that bothers you.
I have a challenge for you. If you can give me a convincing argument FROM THE BIBLE that abortion is wrong, I will change my stance on the issue.

I agree with this, but I also think that God places some of the control over when we're born into our parents' hands. If not, then all birth control would be wrong, and so would be even saying "no" to sex. If life begins before conception, where do we draw the line?

I agree with some/most. But, I disagree with the religious, abortion, Israel, And, Dan Rather did a FINE job of reporting on Bush's AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard. They took his career over that CORRECT report. Same as they took White House Correspondent Helen Thomas career over her comments on Israel. Israel IS the original Terrorists. They need to leave the land that they STOLE from the Palestinians. And, I do NOT want to see religion taught in Public Schools. Private school, fine.

I am an Independent Voter. I do not like, nor condone EITHER party. Example: I am Pro Choice. GOP are in the dark ages on issues like Abortion and "Same Sex Marriage". They are NEVER going to stop EITHER. Yet, they make it their basic platform. STUPID. DEMS are Welfare and Pro Illegal Aliens. My number ONE most important issue, is to rid the U.S. of the infestation of these ILLEGAL ALIENS. HOW can a political party be AGAINST enforcing the laws on the books??? They are called ILLEGAL because they ARE!

When political parties make issues that divide the population their base issues, they get NOWHERE. Both parties now act like the Bloods and the Crips. You can NEVER have a Blood agree with or side with a Crip. Another analogy would be the Hells Angels and the Outlaws. Until BOTH parties unite on common issues, this country will continue to fall into Third World Country status.
