Liberal Bully Loses His Job For Berating A Chick-Fil-A Employee.
UPDATE: Liberal bully berates Chick-Fil-A employee
Some people went to Chick-Fil-A to support their freedom speech, but some decided to go and harass innocent employees who may or may not even share the same opinion as the head of the company. As Glenn said this morning, a successful company hires people of different backgrounds and philosophies. They don’t work like a hive-mind, all marching to the same drum.
The Blaze reports:
Mr. Smith is an Adjunct Lecturer at Eller College in Arizona and he also is the CFO of Vante, a catheter manufacturing company.
Apparently, Adam Smith is not a fan of the head of Chick-fil-A and he decided to let the company know how he felt. Smith sat in the drive through lane of a local franchise, intending to only order “free water” and give the company a piece of his mind.
In the video, initially titled ”Reduce $’s to Chick-Fil-A’s Hate Groups” – these points are worth noting:
- The college students that Smith sees off in the distance and speculates are getting ready to stage a sit-in, were most likely waiting to get into the movie theater they were standing in front of.
- He tells the young woman working the window, “This is a horrible corporation with horrible values.”
- He also goes out of his way to stress ,”I’m a nice guy, by the way… totally heterosexual. Not a gay in me, I just can’t stand the hate.”
Not long after Smith posted the video on YouTube, it was removed.
TUCSON, AZ–(Marketwire – Aug 2, 2012) – The following is a statement from Vante:
Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company. The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.
We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith’s actions against Vante
and its employees.

darcie lamar 2012/08/03 00:09:56What Do You Think?+16Cheap shot Mr. Smith. He is entitled to his beliefs, he is not entitled to bully people that are working to make ends meet. The young woman was a class act. I hope she gets a promotion.

Some CEOs clearly need to be tarred and feathered.
Here's hoping the young lady waiting the Chick-fil-A window sues him for publishing the clip on the Internet without her permission.
Throughout his little expose, Mr. Smith proved that he is an immature man who seemed to get excessive pleasure out of berating Chick-Fil-A, and harrassing the young woman who worked there. Not very nice.
I think protesting and expressing one's dismay/displeasure at an organization is one thing, but attacking individuals of the company should be off limits. Those of us who disapprove of the organization should be able to peaceable protest, but we should not harass employees or patrons. It's a fine line...
I don't like Chik-Fil-A at all, however Mr. Smith deserved to be fired for his actions. He represents or represented Vante and they had a right to remove him from position when they, obviously, felt that his actions were a poor reflection on the company. Harassing the employee was a very bad PR act on his part, imo.
I'll stand for the rights of the unborn babies over the right to kill them until the day I die.
I loathe the Salvation Army for their stance regarding employing gay individuals and I won't give them a cent or donate to them at all. I recognize that they do a lot of good, though. I will to to Washington, DC and stand up for a woman's right to choose - and that includes having a child. I will not demand that a woman give birth nor demand that a woman terminate a pregnancy. That is between her, her physician, and whatever higher power she may believe in... The unborn are not babies, btw. You and I will disagree about that - and will have to agree to disagree... I hope that we can agree that no matter which stance one takes, harassing an employee or a patron is the wrong way to go about things.
So, those that are killed are not babies, just what would they be if allowed to live? Agreed that harassing is out of line. Just wish those on the Left thought the same.
This is the "Ultimate Stupid Fail." A CFO posting a YouTube video of himself "actually and intentionally" harassing an employee of another company, while they're trying to do their job. What a complete moronic idiot Mr. Smith is!
The only people dumber than that are people who try to defend such morons, like you!
Call the EMS, I just split my spleen. "liberals who know the value of WORK."
Oh, my. Now I have heard it all. Are you talking about the same Liberals that are making it easier for people to stay on welfare? The same Liberals that are keeping the poor on food stamps for votes????????????? The same Liberals that want to tax the workers into poverty, to sustain the Welfare State? That is Delusion in it's highest degree.
