Let's just say it: The Republicans are the problem.
Americans continue to wonder just how extreme the Right Wing can get. Demonizing private citizens for having the nerve to express their opinions to Congress, defending mysogynist drug addicted radio hatemongers, trying to help the Catholic Church impose its religious dogma on individual employees, and turning anything the President says or does, no matter how noncontroversial, into another "crisis" have become the norm. A traitorous disgraceful torturer is not only elected to Congress but goes full blown Joe McCarthy with paranoid conspiracy theories about communists, and the Right remains silent. Americans who have worked hard their entire lives are cast as "thugs" because they want to protect their rights. Americans desperately seeking jobs are cast as criminals and threatened with drug testing while the Right continues to block every attempt to create the jobs they need. And still more and more of America's wealth finds its way into Cayman Islands bank accounts. It's clear that the Right Wing has lost any respect it might once have had for the Constitution and the history of this nation. The only remaining question is why anyone who claims to respect the Constitution gives the Republicans the time of day, much less a vote.

Let's just say it: The Republicans are the problem.

Rep. Allen West, a Florida Republican, was recently captured on video asserting that there are "78 to 81" Democrats in Congress who are members of the Communist Party. Of course, it's not unusual for some renegade lawmaker from either side of the aisle to say something outrageous. What made West's comment — right out of the McCarthyite playbook of the 1950s — so striking was the almost complete lack of condemnation from Republican congressional leaders or other major party figures, including the remaining presidential candidates.
It's not that the GOP leadership agrees with West; it is that such extreme remarks and views are now taken for granted.
We have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than 40 years, and never have we seen them this dysfunctional. In our past writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.
The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.
When one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the country's challenges.
"Both sides do it" or "There is plenty of blame to go around" are the traditional refuges for an American news media intent on proving its lack of bias, while political scientists prefer generality and neutrality when discussing partisan polarization. Many self-styled bipartisan groups, in their search for common ground, propose solutions that move both sides to the center, a strategy that is simply untenable when one side is so far out of reach.

So STFU if your only going to tell partial truths and slant that mess on the Republicans. Like is the Solyndra fiasco and similar recent adventures that went bad the fault of the Republicans too ?
I'm so damn sick of you Libs. never wanting to accept your downfalls and phuckups and the continued blaming of everyone else except yourselves !
You got that right!
In almost 4 years, either you know the reality of Obama or you're still in a fog.
Vote accordingly..
No mater what i say,you wont believe me,so it's a waste of my time.
You had almost 4 years to develop your opinion on Obama, stick with it.
Vote how you want,i know how i'm voting..
Roger 4..over and out....Adios..
Seems clear to me both Republicans and Democrats would qualify as being "far out of reach".

How exactly do these pinhead liberals claim to understand, let alone know what goes through the minds of a conservative leader? I'd wager most of them agree with Allen West. I know I do.
No, PP. Liberals and progressives are the problem.
I've tried discussing, arguing, pointing out facts to you as many, many other SH's have as well. You can't recognize the truth, however. Terrible waste of a human mind.
Scott Walker is saving the taxpayers from the hands of the union bosses. Plain and simple. The left is trying everythng to demonize the guy. He's a hero.
This war on women, hispanics, gays, etc. is also crap that the left spun and created.
How's about this? You want to 'prove' your point, you dig up some 'facts'.
and extended family. Several even hit both categories of those so called 'warred upon' categories. Hispanic gay males.
Conservatives believe in free markets, less government control, and letting each man and woman do their best and reap the rewards without the government taking and doling out to their chosen group of dependents. We believe in the inherent potential in each individual, and know that we have economic sense behind our ideological beliefs. We also have success stories to point to where true conservatism works. The liberal progressive ideology has none of these success stories, only spin, lies and 'feel good' propaganda that has led to the demise of many societies.
The government in DC is broken, corrupt, and both sides of the aisle have lying losers in their ranks. We've been on a course of socialism a little bit at a time for 8-10 decades. Study your history from about the time of Woodrow Wilson forward.
Sorry.
Did you get a paycheck during the Bush years? Tell me, did you see a tax reduction? It was there. My husband earned well below 'rich' status.
'there is nobody in this country who got rich on his own.....' Really? So, I suppose Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Steve Jobs, etc. should all go back and share thier wealth with, oh I don't know. Third grade teachers and thier bus drivers, right? The worker and laborer is where the importance is. Hmm. Where have I heard that before, wait....Oh ya. THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO.
Don't tell me this debunks your BS class warfare, Jimbo.

Given proof you should admit I was right and your post is nonsense.
When Republican state legislators and Republican governors make laws that demand unnecessary, intrusive medical procedures for women to accomplish a political goal, then I would call that somewhat anti-woman. Here is a link to the story from a source you can't quibble with. http://www.drudge.com/news/15... Note what the quoted Republican says; women don't care about money.
When a party consistently denies a segment of our population equal rights based on religious principles, I would call that pretty discriminatory. Our equality is not dependent on the various religions of our population. See many examples in many states. But here as a link http://radiantcross.org/Chris...
When Republicans advocate programs to limit who can and can not vote based on spurious reasoning, then it is a war on voting. Republicans know that the larger the electorate, the more likely they lose. A link:

This is not my opinion; this is a demonstrated fact, that Republican strategists have acknowledged. Limit the vote and win the state house. 2010 is an example of such.
It's funny; you're the one who is uninformed.
