40 years, and never have we seen them this dysfunctional. In our past
writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was
warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the
core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.

The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.

When
one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly
impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the
country’s challenges.

Everything is a liberal site to you righties. Google Bain Capital corruption and find what you want. Those companies he looted are not lying. They lost their jobs. As governor his state was 47th out of 50 in job creation too. So all these promises he is making are worthless. I have conservative friends that are not happy that he is their nominee, and they are at least honest about it.

The Republicans are a problem, but the Dems are far from blameless as well since they also support the status quo. That said, the GOP's ruinous tax cuts and ass backwards insistence on failed European-style austerity measures have us circling the drain.
