writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was
warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the
core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.
The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.
When
one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly
impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the
country’s challenges.

I was in NV. during Nov. 2010 and Angle had a 5 point lead for two weeks heading into election day. Reid miraculously pulled off a 5% 'win'..... thanks to the SEIU who has the contract to 'repair and maintain' all the voting machines throughout the state.
There were reports of rigged machines coming in from all corners 30 minutes after the polls opened.
You idiots focused on a handful of candidates and spent your entire stock in Reid, Bennett, Murray, Brown, Boxer .... and lost sight of the big picture.
You lost 700 state seats, the House, Senate seats, Governorships and control over their state assembly's.
Round # 2 on the way.
Angle was a lot like this candidate of clowns you had running in your primary. She sounded great because she was another one to take on the evil democrats and their demon leader. But the more you listened to her the fruiter she sounded and there is no question that she was an absolute fruitcake.
Right now you have so much "buyers remorse" in this country about who they ended up sending to the capital that you are going to have to hang onto your hats. Right now Congress has a 9% approval rating and given their lackluster, pathetic performance, I think that's even too high. You're talking about 100B here and 75B there.... when we have Trillions in unfunded liabilities and SS & Medicare are going down the drain... both progressive programs that were schemes that Bernie Madoff would be proud of. How many trillions are promised in govt. pensions? How do they pay for themselves unless we grow govt. through the roof?
The Ryan budget addresses these issues rather than more smoke & mirrors and kicking the problem down to the next generation to deal with when the programs go bankrupt and politicians stand around scratching their asses with no explanation.
Why you people don't understand this is insanity. Who cares if the Dow went to 13,000...? It was over 14,000 in the mid 2000's and is only a number of how many shares are trading hands. People use it as an indicator but the bottom line is how many people are still losing their homes, jobs, long term unemployment and less than impressive GDP. It's only HALF of what 0bozo and his wizards projected and the numbers going into the rest of the year are still in the 2.0 neighborhood. Where's that 4.4% growth?
No, the Bush tax cuts, which are really just reversing the Clinton tax increases will stay. The 113th Congress will reinstate them retroactive to Jan.1, 2013 as their first order of business, followed by months of reversing most of what has happened since Jan. 20, 2009.
