Lesbian Bride Rejected By Bridal Salon; just another gay hate crime?

Outrage is spreading across the web after a New Jersey bridal salon refused to sell a wedding dress
to a lesbian. Bride-to-be Alix Genter had crossed out "groom" and wrote
in "partner" on the store's paperwork. She then received a voicemail
from the manager of the "Here Comes The Bride" store that said, "what
you are describing on this paperwork is illegal and we do not
participate in any illegal acts." Click here
to listen to the voicemail posted by Philly.com. Even though the
wedding is set to take place in New York, where same sex marriage is now
legal, gay marriage is not legal in New Jersey. When recounting her
exchange with the manager, Genter told The Philadelphia Daily News,
"she also said that I came from a nice Jewish family, and that it was a
shame I was gay. She said, 'There's right, and there's wrong. And this
is wrong.'" Twitter is on fire with support for Genter. The outrage has
spread to the business review site Yelp.com, where hundreds have added
new negative reviews of "Here Comes The Bride," plummeting the store's ratings to one star out of five. Do you think this is just anther gay hate crime?

Regardless whether it made good business sense, it was not a 'hate crime'.
Regarding your post above, it was over the purchase of a dress, not a hair-do.
Being against the G &L lifestyle does not make one a ''hater''. Christians for example do not hate the sinner, just the sin. Which brings me to my Question about muslims. You said you don't like ''haters'' and Muslims clearly hate gays because they would stone gays to death. Christians just refuse to play a part in the G & L Lifestyle. Doesn't make them haters.
....read 1john 3:6-10....that's a Christian....if they are not that...they are haters in side....
It's the capitalist pigs I don't like....you answer was honest....and I have nothing against gays....
I could see the right taking steps like this as the future rolls on...it will be the new way to get away with a "hate crime"...deny services to gays when ever possible...so laws will have to catch up with that....
Anyway it's fair enough if gay marriage isn't even legal in that state. Buy a dress in your own state. Although I'm not sure why the store needs to know the name of the groom :/
For crying out loud - men and women are even allowed to choose NOT to serve in the military if they have a moral or religious objection to it. Why should a dressmaker have less rights?
If you were a tailor, would you fit 5 pairs of pants of a bum who hadn't bathed for 1-1/2 years? Do you think you should be FORCED to?
Which side is promoting Obama's feds forcing you to BUY whatever health care and insurance they deem you will buy, and supporting radical Islam's push to take away basic human rights of women, other religions, atheists, and gays, and backing Sharia law in America? The Left.
Now what was that talk about freedom of choice?
