Le Chêtalier’s Principle: The Power of Balance
Now imagine that the whole Universe is like a chemical reaction. When stress is applied to any part of the reaction, that part's opposite will apply stress in return, thus restoring Balance. The Universe has an enormous arsenal of actions and reactions to maintain the delicate Balance of things. When something is knocked out of whack, the damage is immediately counteracted by an opposite force. So it was until humanity came about.
For centuries, we lived in Harmony with Nature. Then, humanity started getting ideas: "What if we changed this?" or "What if we manipulated that?" Eventually, humanity became strong enough to challenge Balance itself. We unknowingly waged war on the Universe, and began winning. This was not good.
For many millenia, we ate away at the foundations of Nature. We tunneled, and wormed our way throughout the structure of the Universe. We pulverised its innards and did immense damage. And what happens when a structure is weakened? It all comes crashing down. We have done enormous damage to things, and now it's all going to come back at us. The Universe must have Balance, and it will do anything to restore it. This includes wrecking everything we hold dear.
You might think I'm going to make some speech about hope. Well, sorry to disappoint, but the time for hope is gone. Hope was found in the '70s, but then it was lost. Now all we can do is survive. We need to keep our wits about us, and keep our loved ones close, because soon, Balance will be restored, even though it means things will come crashing down on us.

Interesting thought. It sort of reminds me of "what goes around, comes around". The Bible says do unto others as you would have done to you. The old testament says " an eye for an eye". It is endless. They all sound like cause and reaction statements to mereply
