A Tea Party activist in South Central New Jersey puts it simply: Barack Obama claimed executive privilege to protect himself.Senator Grassley (R-IA), the
ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who said Obama’s
assertion of executive privilege raises “monumental questions,” put it best:
Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) also called the assertion of executive privilege “untimely.” Untimely, indeed. Brian Terry died a year and a half ago. And we still don't have answers.
My activist friend (follow the link below for his full text) does not stop there. He reserved his most scathing criticism for the Speaker of the House, for failing to act, and even hindering the investigation. But today, the Speaker dropped a hint that maybe, just maybe, he's ready to do his job. He said that the claim of executive privilege was an admission of guilt!
It's worse than that, actually. Obama reminds me of Peter O'Toole, as King Henry II, in Becket:
What say you? Is Barack Obama trying to act like a tyrannical king? Or does he have something legitimate to protect?

How can the president assert executive privilege if there
was no White House involvement [in Fast and Furious]? How can the
president exert executive privilege over documents he’s supposedly never
seen? Is something very big being hidden to go to this extreme?

But I'm the king! Why should I obey the law? Why, indeed. The answer: even kings must obey the contract they and their ancestors made with the people; else they are no better than tyrants. We fought a Revolution over this very issue.
What say you? Is Barack Obama trying to act like a tyrannical king? Or does he have something legitimate to protect?

CMackley ~POTL~PWCM~JLA 2012/06/21 23:07:27Does Obama think he's a king? We have no king but the law!+11He sees himself as the king of the world when he isn't even king in his own family.

In his dreams...
Excessive executive fiat will bite him in the ass in the upcoming 'long' run.
The lefties are very very eager to make this a 'race' issue.
I'll make a prediction - when it gets closer to the elections - you will start to hear once again of riots and black voter and black youth discontent - just like last time when some decided Obama may not make it as a candidate against Clinton and when it was thought he'd lose to McCain.
Race has been used as a bludgeon since Obama even thought of running in any kind of election. But only for the left. And only used when politically expedient to do so.
In theory, if he resented his white mother and black father, then he has no use for anyone other than himself.
So of course he can transcend the law of the land and the laws of the church (Catholics/birth control) for example.
This man has a personality disorder and is a danger to society. This is my opinion and I believe I've nailed it.
But odrama has never cared about our laws or our constitution, ignoring them is his favorite sport.
The NEWS I want is that Obama does not win Reelection in November
