Jim Buss, LA Lakers VP and son of owner Dr. Jerry Buss, says he regrets not consulting Kobe Bryant about the decision to hire Mike Brown as Phil Jackson's successor. This was a complete reversal of his previous position that "we really don't consult the players on these matters." Why the change?

"Looking back on it, we should have contacted Kobe," Jim Buss said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that ran Saturday night. "Kobe said it was management's job to pick a coach. He just said, 'Defense first.' That's what we were doing, but we should have reached out to him."

Kobe is a player being payed a handsome salary to do a job. If he wants to make decisions such as this, he should quit the team and become a part of the management.
Personally, I am working 2 jobs to almost pay my bills, I don't have any sympathy for any of these crybabies
