KSM torture did not stop LA attack

Ever since the revelations that the torture of Abu Zubaydah provided only false leads, conservatives have jumped on a Bush-era memo claiming that torture of KSM stopped an attack in LA. This is false, and easily proven so.

According to the Bush White House, the mastermind of that attack was arrested in February 2002 . They confirmed this again in a fact sheet . All well and good.

KSM was arrested on March 1, 2003 . How is it possible that torture done over a year after plot was broken up and the mastermind was arrested stopped that exact same plot?

It's not spin. It's the truth. Torture in 2003 could not have stopped an attack in 2002; the capture of the real mastermind in 2002 stopped that attack.

How safe were you feeling on 9/11/2001? Do you really think everybody has forgotten who was President on that day? It doesn't make me feel safer knowing that after seven years in charge of the most powerful military force on earth, the guys who planned and orchestrated that attack still haven't been brought to justice the way the first WTC bombers were.

Actually, until the towers fell, very safe. To be honest with you, and really no unkindness intended, I didn't start feeling unsafe until Jan. 20th. The reason? We all knew the Bush Administration was trying to keep terrorists away from our country. I don't feel safe now. Argue that anyway you want to. I won't carry this any further. For those who understand, I don't have to. For those who don't it would be a waste of my time anyway.

Bush's aggression in Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. Where have you been?

If Little Joe or Hoss kills the bad-guys in the first 15 minutes, how do you get an hour’s worth of Chevy commercials out of a BONANZA episode? Ditto bin Laden and all the military equipment used and replaced in the last 7 years.

And why did the price of oil fall to 1999 levels as soon as Obama was elected?

Have YOU forgotten who was in office when the federal building in
Oklahoma was bombed? Or our embassies in Africa? Or the bombing of
the U.S.S.Cole? So please cut the crap about 9/11 being Bush's fault!
HE had been in office a little less than 8 months! For the previous 8
YEARS, national security had been an ABSOLUTE JOKE!

I was responding to your assertion that Bush had kept us safe, my opinion is that being in charge during the worst attack in history doesn't qualify as keeping us safe. Perhaps we should begin waterboarding Christian fundamentalists to stop any future attacks like Oklahoma City or all the clinic bombings.
The other crap you're pushing, that Bush shouldn't take responsibility because he had only been in office eight months, are you waiting until October to hold the current President accountable for his actions? Did your boss give you eight months before he or she expected you to know your job?

Good job... I never believe much of what they say anyway, we are starting to see a lot of BS coming out of the woodwork. Condie looks like she lied (ok, being nice here) and she isn't the only one. Anyone wonder why Cheney is being so outspoken? I think he is very afraid... If fact, his name seems to be all over. I can't wait to see his old cranky crazy ass in jail...

condie lied cheney outspoken afraid wait cranky crazy ass jail

    Thanks Again!!!
