Knowing how women are abused in Islamic theocracies, does it make any logical sense for a woman to submit to Islamic law in the U.S. or other country where Islam is not controlling it?

I could argue that by YOUR logic, most catholics are child molesters since hundreds of Priests were proven to molest young boys.

What Catholic priests have done is AGAINST the law, but what is happening to the man in the picture is PART of Sharia law.

If the Catholic church taught child pornography and taught molesting children, then the comparison would be the same. Islam TEACHES decapitation. The Catholic church neither teaches it or practices it.

last time I read the bible it taught and eye for an eye
it says spare the rod spoil the child (hitting a child with a rod/switch/belt etc in any state is illegal)
the bible teaches polygamy. which is illegal in the US
the bible teaches to circumcize boys which some culture see as brutal

in hadith of Bukhari , Muhamed is well known to suck the tongues of baby boys.. take little boys with him on excursions out of sight so they help him choose the proper type of wiping materials for his gluteous maximus after he defecated .. and his promise that there will be many many little boys in his sexual paradise along with the perpetual virgins.. one of whom he claimed is the mother of the christ/Isa of the christians... even teling the complete truth about islam can be and is often considered a crime by islam/shari'a because the complete truth slows the progression of the theocracy.

Whether the source of the abuse is ideology masquerading as religion, or a drunken husband, abuse is still abuse, and it should neither be tolerated nor condoned, let alone encouraged as "Progressives" in our country do.
