Not only are racists alive and well in NC, and have been since before the Civil War (the south still longs for the plantation economy) but they are also trying to use magical thinking about global warming. The insane Republicans in the state senate made it illegal to cite sea level rise, as predicted by the science, because they said it would hurt coastal real estate values. Gotta go get us sum a dem commie scientists and string em up!

That's a crude message on a piece of paper...not a banner. That could have been written by anyone. The KKK, kids in a hoax, people wanting to stir up trouble....I hardly see it as a big deal. Kinda insignificant really.

What you "feel" and what is fact are two different things. The statue was donated by a group (Daughters of the Civil War, if I recall correctly and I am pretty certain I do) and THEY are the ones who decided to relocate the statue. It did not belong to the KKK. Oh, and what you feel is fine. What you try to present as fact, when in fact it is not, is not okay. It's stupidity.
