No. Most US franchise businesses are owned by local citizens. Riots and violence against these franchises is targeting their own people.

Excellent point, and I think it's terrific that someone wants to own their own business,( And really they don't, being that it's a franchise) but the company provides the incentive and location. And gets a cut of profits, so they're in it for a buck too. Under any other circumstances, no problem. With the current sentiment towards anything American in origin or nature, that's not the case .Better for every one to pack it in. We're not welcome in these people's HOME any longer. Time to go.

Sorry to inform you redhorse but I checked with our local KFC/LONG JOHN SILVERS and was told that there are no franchises they are all owned by corporate...

KFC and McDonald's are not branches of the U.S. government. They are corporations. They are international corporations. They don't care about your jobs or "our" food. It is not "our" food they are preparing and selling in their restaurants in Pakistan OR in any other country OR in the U.S.. It is "their food". The corporation's food, They buy chickens, cook them and sell them. Its not "our food". Corporations not going to bring restaurant jobs "home" from any other country. Restaurant's sell prepared meals to the people near their location. Bringing a KFC "Home" from another country is not how it works. They expand globally because they have pretty much saturated the market here in the U.S. In fact I was reading theother day that KFC market is dwindling in the U.S. I know I stopped buying KFC about 30 years or more ago because frankly, it stinks. But they are more popular now in other countries than they are in the U.S. now and their markets are expanding in some other countris rapidly. .

KFC is Capitalistic business that needs a 12% growth factor. That is the way with Ponzi schemes. Once they can't expand they collapse. Yes, I stopped eating that junk, because it will kill you. We ought to leave it there to decrease their population.
