I just don't see why gay marriage is a national issue during a presidential election except to win votes.

If gay marriage is important than so is polygamy.

When did I say that, now, exactly? Oh, you are equating same sax marriage with marriage to a sneaker! Gotcha!

    Fundamentalists are so sensative.

It opens the floodgates, like when we gave women the right to vote, and the next thing we knew, sneakers had the right to vote too. :)

Our right to vote, as well as that of the sneaker's, was recognized, not given, bucko!
Sometimes you do not take things seriously enough, I'm afraid, you are too cavelier.
I did a report for school, once on the first, black high-top, Ked that tried to excersize that vote. it happpen to be a Lady's 6M.
    It was a moving story. I got a B+
    I don't know. lol

I didn't say you said that. I am saying it. If gay marriage is OK then so should polygamy and bestiality. See what happens when one goes way out west?

So, you feel harming animals is, somehow equal to being gay.

Now i respect your right to believe that,I really do,even your standing up for it if it is your belief, but you must realize it is not constitutional to create laws based on beliefs, faith, any of that stuff because that would mean we all would not have the right to practice our own beliefs. Consenting adults and all of that, see what I mean? B)

The media decide which issues the public should find important.
If one of the candidates announced they were vegan, you can bet the media would figure out a way to make veganism a deciding factor in whether or not they'd make a good president.

I agree with his STATEMENT but NOT HIS RECORD. this is JUST A PLOY. DON'T BUY INTO IT. his chance to stand up for our rights, including gays, was his FIRST TERM. if you care about your civil rights, you must care about those of others, including gays, even if you are religious. if you care about rights, your only candidate is RON PAUL.

Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa secretary of the Council of Imams and Preachers accused (and didn't "blast"!) President Obama of playing God, because of his support of Gay Marriage.Daily Nation Journalist Amina Kibirige hoping for the Domino Effect or just taking the liberty to say whatever she wants?,-keeping in mind she is a Ugandan and not from Kenya herself.Whatever-I am sure Conservative Christians are rejoicing at Shiekh Khalifa's religious statements towards homosexuality and Gay Marriage, especially those who believe the President is a Muslim of course.LOL.

Ancient Greeks had sex with men for pleasure. Women were property and marriage was a contract confirming ownership and a union of Political and Business powers.

We can take marriage back to those "glorious" old days of the bible were women were bought and sold like cattle.

I don't particularly care about the gay marriage issue. Leave it to the states, let the voters of the states decide. Doesn't affect me one way or the other.

Glad to see the comments in this thread, not sure how the GOP started being compared to the Taliban but I guess intellect is lost on the web.

I'm sorry, did I attack you? Or anyone in particular for that matter? I'm pretty sure I just commented on how every conversation on the internet turns into a tireless bickering between both sides where nothing gets accomplished or discussed in an intellectual manner. Glad to see you feel the need to attack someone though.
