This was a partisan witch-hunt from the start. Rep. Issa is leading a mob, with pitch forks and torches. He is a disgrace to the United States Congress. He and Newt are cut from the very same pointed, white cloth.

One strike against Issa's and the GOP miscreants in the House and their political ploy and conspiracy. Anything else will take too much time, and time they don't have between now and November when pressed on bills to pass or reject like student loan interest, and the debt ceiling. Plus don't forget the GOP clown convention in August.

It's a waste of taxpayer dollars since the contempt charge was nothing more than a witch hunt or, more appropriate, it's a case of Repubdungbaggers saying "Let's see if we can f*ck over a black man."

They're in complete denial; they even deny they're waging war against women although the list of invasive laws they've passed is given to them,

These laws are nothing more than state-sponsored rape of women; you should control your body, not some creepy right wing male who probably has never seen a woman's vagina.

No, it's proof that when charges are brought without any conceivable factual or legal basis and the motivation is blatantly political, it's a good bet that it's going to blow up in your face.

I'm wide awake, my friend. I don't pretend that the Health Care Reform Law is perfect by a long way, but I do honestly believe that the people of this country are better off with it than without it. That's just my opinion, not a "fact". I respect your right to think otherwise, and I hope that as this law is fully implemented you come to see things differently.

There are some really GOOD THINGS in that bill.. Things that people have been wanting to see happen for many years ... The mandates and Taxes
And forcing people is a whole different ballgame!!
I work in the medical field and see the need everyday.. I'm also an American and see this in it's real form and it's worriesome ... It truly is!
  • ProudPr... angelbaby 2012/07/04 15:15:11

The things that people have been wanting to see happen aren't free. We want people with pre-existing conditions to be covered, but obviously that coverage mean more services have to be rendered and that costs money. We want to eliminate a lifetime cap, but that means that some cases will cost a lot more money. We want children who graduate college and can't find a job to have coverage, but that costs money.

Personally, I think the best part of the bill is the requirement that health insurers have to apply at least 80% of the money they receive on actual health care costs. That means that without paying an additional penny you and I are getting more medical care.

The reality is that the mandate will only affect at most 5% of the population (I've seen some estimates as low as 2%, but I'll go with the more "conservative" estimate LOL). I, for instance, already have decent health insurance through my job and my wife's job. The bill won't affect me other than the fact that when I do need medical care, it will be a little easier to do so.

And for me (JUST my personal opinion) if it costs me an extra $20 a month to keep 30 million of my fellow Americans alive, I don't mind paying it. I don't like to pay bridge tolls, either, but the alternative of having bridges collapse doesn't appeal to me at all. My personal feeling is that there are some things that we need to do even if it costs money. Not everything has to be profit based, in my opinion.

We wont be getting more quality medical care ..
I work in the medical field and you would be surprised
To see the docs that are going to cash basis only ..
The regulations, red tape and lower riembursement
For these docs are off the charts. You may be willing to let the government into a private part of your life but I'm not!

It will basically give corporations the power to force Americans to buy there products, read it closely, that is the impression I got. The bad points negate any good points of the bill.

That's true to a degree. I still am unhappy that for-profit health insurance corporations even exist, and I firmly believe that a single payer plan is ultimately a far better way to go, but I think that as this bill goes fully into effect and people realize that they've been utterly lied to by the Right Wing for the last three years, we will get to a single payer system in the next decade or two.
  • Chief ProudPr... 2012/07/04 17:38:47

I agree, for profit health care is immoral, no doubt. The whole medical industry is joke. There are no more cures, only treatments as there is no profit in a cure, I find that offensive!

NOPE!! We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.
