June Jobs Report Shows Unemployment Has Remained Unchanged: Is This Good or Bad News for Obama?

The jobs number is a big factor in the election. The fact that the June number is flat is very interesting for the political landscape. Many pundits have suggested that President Obama is running against the economy, not Mitt Romney. But with the jobs growth number unchanged, Obama might actually have to run against Romney after all. Is the news good or bad for the President?

MONEY.CNN.COM reports:
Hiring was lukewarm last month, with employers adding jobs but not enough to bring the unemployment rate down.

More Americans were added to the disability roles than got new jobs last month and Obama and his Harvard educated economists promised 5.6% unemployment if he got his trillion dollar 'stimulus' package.

harvard educated economists promised 5 6 unemployment dollar stimulus package

Do the 50% of Americans that pay no federal income tax care?
    Unlikely.

Do the record setting number of Americans that receive government money care?
    Probably not.

Do the political activists that will vote Obama no matter what care?
    Of course not.

Does not matter what the facts are. 90% of the media will report these bleak numbers as good news. Fox and a few blogs will report it as bad news and most Americans will focus on Matthew McCaunaghey's new baby.

Okay, where is this money going to come from to get re-educated or start a business? Do you know how many regulations there are now to start a business?

    Talk is cheap.

There is plenty of money available from the Obama administration to get re-educated. There are also thousands of free courses available online. MIT has Open Course Ware http://ocw.mit.edu/ available for free. Start with educating yourself, enroll in a university or college that will allow you to test out of certain subjects all together. I worked with a manager that got a dual degree in electrical engineering and computer science and never took a programming class. He simply tested out of those classes. Smart way to reduce the cost of your education.

You start a business just like anyone has in the past. 1) determine what can you borrow from you assets, 2) see what family members are willing to help you out, 3) see if you can find a business partner, 4) hire your first few employees as partners that are willing to ride out your vision. I've gone the SBA route and Small Business loan route and was not successful, so what. I found alternative ways to get funding and sweat equity.

I've done the leg work needed to ensure I have all the city, county, and state permits needed to operate business. I've done plenty of leg work for other operations.

Politicians tax and regulate business to dead. It's little wonder businesses leave the country to avoid harrassment. Some businesses are hiring but no nearly as much as what is needed and for less than normal compensation.

That is false, what regulations kept Google or Facebook from becoming mega successful? They also complain that they cannot find qualified people for the low ball. The reason that they low ball is because they got a few good people at a low price. As an employee you have to command your salary or contract rate. Sometimes you take a temporary pay cut to get by until something better lands. I'll let them know i have a much hire rate so either match it or c'est la vie.

Taxes along with business insurances are a different scheme.

  • Rich Ma... Redneck 2012/07/09 15:14:22

Oh, those trillions of U.S. dollars (conjured out of thin air as enormous federal debt by way of the Federal Reserve System) went into the pockets of the banksters on Wall Street and overseas, to government employees in economically worthless make-work "jobs" (and that emphatically includes the teachers' union types), and to politically connected boondoggle perpetrators like the snake-oil salesmen in "renewable energy."

Remember, the chief beneficiaries of currency counterfeiters (i.e., Federal Reserve crapola) are the guys who get it FIRST.

As the trillions of "dollars" in intrinsically worthless "stimulus" get into the national and the world economies, they dilute the value of the money in YOUR personal pocket by bidding up the prices of literally everything you and your family need to live.

Food, clothing, housing, electricity, gasoline, home heating oil, natural gas - EVERYTHING - gets priced higher because of what our Kenyan Keynesian did as "stimulus."

    EVERYTHING.

Y'see, kids, the laws of economics work whether that New York Times asswipe Krugman wants them to or not.

Nobel Prize? Yeah, just like the one they slurped all over our Illegal-Alien-in-Chief.

...any incumbent with a jobless rate fluctuation that leans toward the positive (positive jobless rate means the loss or rates, deceleration of the GDP and consequently GNP, failed economic efforts, overbearing commercial restrictions, an increase of government and decrease in private venture), stands to take a tremendous political blow in November no matter how good the stump speech (numbers don't lie but politicians try to).

Lets also not forget that Romney hasn't done much to help himself with the tax situation, that said, Obama is guilty of single-handedly creating the largest singular tax increase in almost 300 years of being a nation while simultaneously lying to his constituents to deceptively build support for a law that violates interstate commerce and lying to the Supreme Court about the nature of the fees associated with the bill while also admitting publicly that the admin. lied to its constituency to make it happen!

This nation needs more than ever to return to God before it's too late!

Grace to you, Glory to God!

We aren't even keeping up with the population growth. Of course it's bad. We need to get rid of our Socialist President and all the Socialist congressmen such as Sen. Harry Reid, this Sen. Al Franken goofball, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver and congresswomen such as Sen. Barbara Boxer, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Rep.Debbie Wasserman Schulz and this Pelosi nut and get someone in there that believes in Capitalism and Democracy. If Americans don't want us to end up like Greece they better wake up and start learning a little about what made this country great and little about how to keep our freedom from a dictatorial. government.

The president is still ahead in most polls and tied in others with Mitt Romney. Mitt should be mopping the floor with the president, but this shows how weak of a candidate he is. The president just signed a portion of his American Jobs Act into law yesterday, which will put millions of people back to work.

Yes he does have a plan. Here is the link for all you righties who say he doesn't.

Lefties always block.... They can only spout what they've been programmed to believe. Once they have done that and have to actually THINK on their own they either spout hatred for the right (which was programmed as well) or they block you rather then have an actual debate using intelligent data gathered independently. Righties refuse to accept that others are entitled to their own opinion. Until this country wakes up and sees that it's being played by both the left and the right we are all in for a dumping. Quit playing partisanship and let's handle our business.
