Judge Rules Police Dash Cam Videos Can Be Kept Secret

WannaBeRSC the Contrarian SOB 2012/04/13 14:27:15
Keeps it secret for three years, at which time the system automatically deletes it. Cool, huh?

These videos should be public record and frankly, I think that there should be citizen oversight of them, as well as any interrogation and jail videos, to prevent "loss" or tampering.

Any police camera footage funded by taxpayer dollars has no business being kept secret from those same taxpayers. If police officers want to belong to a secret organization, they can join the Rosicrucians in their free time.

    Fire that Judge.

When you get angry enough, grab your weapon, run outside and wait five minutes. If you're the only one, It's not time yet.

The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.

The male-anchor of Komo as been there since I lived there in the 1990's. It looks very much like traveling around in groups, with the latest video technology, will be totally 'en-vogue'. That will escalate things, especially in high-populated areas, until blood-baths en-sue. Could lead to Martial Law.

That's pretty much what I'm talking about. The videos could be live fed (simultaneous to the recording the police keep) to a repository and kept for safekeeping, outside of police control. In the event of a citizen complaint, the tape would be available.

Such Fun! Everyone wants to play Big Brother!

Can anyone imagine how much we might accomplish if we just did our own "thing" and produced things to make it possible for everyone's lives to be a little better? Even tho' it is done merely for the "selfish" reason of making it possible for each of us to survive?

That would be wonderful, Striker, and if the government would simply allow people to do so, this would not be the issue that it is.

Over 7 billion people in this world, virtually all who are Ruled by a Goverment which they did not choose. How clever they are!

Short of a revolution there isn't really any way to opt out. We may be close to that, but we aren't yet there.

Ahead is either Revolution, which will kill off lots of people in order to foist some new Ruler upon all the People, or
Collapse, which will also kill off lots of unbelieving people who are unprepared to survive, but will also wipe out the GOVERNment(s) and leave the People free to make their own voluntary associations with an eye toward Liberty and survival of our Species.

It'll be one or the other.

I agree that one or the other is coming. I'm not so sure that collapse will leave the people free, however. The "global" government appears to be ready to step in if/when collapse happens.

In collapse, America is not the only one going down. Nobody will be willing nor able to support the UN or the NWO.
But it's quite true, we will have the opportunity to be free under a voluntary system, but only the opportunity. There will be nobody to stop us except ourselves.

Neither the UN or the NWO will have to pussyfoot around and spend anything they deem unnecessary, which would be most of it. The only thing they would have to support is controlling the masses. Much easier to do in a collapse.

IF we ever had the opportunity to exist under a voluntary system, I agree that it is only the opportunity. Far too many do not want that.

The NWO mess gets it's tribute from Governments which will disappear like nightcrawlers during the day.

Those who survive will be those who understand. The unbelievers will be caught totally unprepared, you know what that means.

Yes it does...not because they need it, because it serves their purpose to bind the nations with obligations both monetary and otherwise right now.

Those who don't believe are those who can't and have never desired the freedom to be responsible for their own actions. Question is, how many fall into each category.

There have been a couple of times over my 73 years when some corporation screwed me over. About that, I had recourse and took it. Not available with GOVERNment.

This is crazy, those videos should be viewed especially when it comes to corrupt cops. My Sheriff and 3 Deputies were sent to prison due to video cam and other things, it should be used in court for sure.
