Jon Stewart mocks Romney for making $57,000 a day; while making $41,000 a day himself

Evil 1 2012/06/18 19:29:50

Comedy Central host Jon Stewart regularly bashes American multimillionaires for their wealth while ignoring the awkward fact that he’s one of them.

Though Stewart distances himself from the “one-percenters” and bellows over their extravagance, his bank accounts bear all the marks of the “multi, multi, multi, multi millionaires” he mocks. The 49-year-old Stewart, born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, makes more than 300 times the median American salary, owns three luxury homes and sometimes doesn’t pay his taxes.

In January Stewart exploded on-air over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s income level. “That’s almost — that’s almost $57,000 a day!” he gushed.

But Stewart’s own income level brings him and his wife Tracey approximately $41,000 a day. The celebrity income-handicapping website Celebrity Net Worth lists his annual salary as $15 million and estimates his net worth at $80 million.

Yeah many of the criticizers of Capitalism in the media are capitalists themselves, because they know there's no other way to reach the level of success as they are.

It's funny how Micheal Moore who seems to hate Capitalism, has gotten to where he is because of it.

Maybe the difference is that Jon Stewart actually works for a living and doesn't get paid for driving other businesses into bankruptcy while destroying thousands of American jobs.

147,000 jobs lost - it is shocking. Oh sorry, that was Obama and the GM take over and includes the closing of dealerships. All of Romney does not equal that one number.
80% business successes and jobs created with his own money. Obama = 1,000,000 net lost jobs and "investments" (actually pay backs to donors) with taxpayer hard earned money that are 80% failures.
Now there is a difference we can count on.

LOL yeah, let's ignore the 800,000 jobs the President saved by not following Mitt Romney's advice and letting the auto industry collapse entirely. And Romney never invested a penny of his own money to drive all those businesses out of business so he could pad his Cayman Islands bank account. As for President Obama, private sector jobs are back to the level they started at when he took office. Those "lost jobs" were primarily lost in the first few months, when thanks to George Bush we lost 750,000 of them a month. We didn't start gaining jobs until the stimulus kicked in months later, and since then we have added over 4 million private sector jobs. Of course, thanks to the Republicans we've had a net loss of about 700,000 public sector jobs, but we'll deal with that after the President is re-elected.

Like I said the 'fuzzy math' that the liberal/progressives use in their feeble attempts to hide Obama's failures has destryed their ability to deal with real numbers and facts. But that will come to an end in November when Obama is sent packing.

He ultimately did exactly what Romney advised but managed to lose even more money down a rat hole before he did it.

No we lost that number one month - December 2008 - the distortion by those who should know better is appalling. November 2008 - unemployment was 4.6 or 48 - then came the dive and the unemployment was 7.6 or 7.7 when Obama took office and that 750,000 is clearly reflected in that number.

Obama's net loss is 1 million jobs - he is a failure and more than a little incompetent

John Stewart works? LOL Only liberall/progressives would call it work as they don't understand the concept. And Romney has created and saved more jobs than he has supposedly lost through the eyes of the liberal/progressives. The problem is that liberal/progressives are so used to using liberal 'fuzzy math' in trying to defend Obamas failure at job creation that they can't understand the real numbers and facts. Or they just refuse to accept them as is they prove just how much of an epic failure Obama really is.

Romney provides new reasons to ridicule him on a daily basis. Just yesterday he tried to summon his inner Sarah Palin by giving about the lamest interview since Sarah couldn't name a newspaper to Bob Schieffer.

It doesn't. It is the typical liberal/progressive attempt to redirect the discussion when they can't refute the truth and facts. As Obama continues to prove on a daily basis what a complete and epic failure he is as well as how corrupt he is his supporters are becoming more and more desperate.
