And you thought Barack Obama and Mitt Romney were the only ones participating in a hearty debate about the future of America. Turns out, Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly will have at it, too! The 90-minute debate between Stewart and O'Reilly will take place at George Washington University, but fans of either TV personality can live-stream the debate for $4.95.

Stewart is referring to the debate as an “old-fashioned duel of wits” and O'Reilly says the two will be “debating the state of the union and how the upcoming election is likely going to effect it.” So, who do you have your money on?

NYPOST.COM reports:
Jon Stewart and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly will face off Oct. 6 in a debate being billed as “The Rumble In The Air-Conditioned Auditorium.”

If you ever watch Stewart outside the confines of his show, he is very well informed and thought out in his positions. He has to be to be able to generate the punchlines for his show.

The difference here is Stewart takes facts and makes jokes out of them while O'Reilly takes jokes and pretends they are facts.

And? Being a comedian automatically lessens your credibility? It SHOULD be funny, in fact, funny how so many Americans don't have the guts to fight for their rights, so instead they hand them over to Communists on a silver platter. even though i honestly think Stewart is a little smarter. i still have to give this one to o'reilly. Stewart is a entertainer and comedian at heart. and as such his message can get lost in the jokes. but bill is like a dog with a bone. once he gets his teeth in it. there is no shaking him loose.

Actually I know plenty of conservatives and I consider myself a fiscal conservative libertarian but I hate O'Reilly. The guy lies constantly and he even denies saying things that he said on air. He's a dick who bullies his guests and talks over them so seeing him in an actual debate will be interesting. His interviews with Jon are interesting. Seeing Jon off of the daily show he seems to be a little more moderate than he lets on so there wont be any blood.

Honestly I think the audience will be the true winners. If for nothing else it will be a great show. O'Reilly will bring the Passion, Stewart will bring the Humor, and the contrast will be obvious. I assume it will get heated at some points, but they share a mutual respect. And for $5 to stream on the internet how could you go wrong?

Jon Stewart is helped greatly by his research crew which has to be about the best in the biz. I love the segments where a politician says one thing and then they play the tape of that same politician saying the exact opposite. Yes, Romney is featured a lot.

I have seen Jon debate without his research team before and I think he is brilliant. Unless they allow O'Reilly to shout over the top of him, my money's on Jon.
