Oh, come now, nobody could be that useless while still breathing. Biden got up every morning, took the train to Washington, earned his salary and respect of his collegues, went home to his family every night. Dan Quayle? There is good reason why less than 1% of the population in WVA are persons of color. Like no other Appalachian state, WVA has a climate of racial bigotry that dates back to post Civil-War when many blacks came to the state to work in the coal mines and were considered a threat by the uneducated white boys there. Obama is considered there as both a black man and widely advertised as an "enemy" of the coal industry on which the primitive areas of the state remain totally dependant. That makes him an easy victim of RWNJ propaganda and the coal mine operators do control the small town newspapers and the few media outlets in the state.

West Virginians have a long relationship with persons in prison. Some of their most popular folk heroes were in and out of prison regularly, and several of their former Governors were sent to prison for various crimes, especially tax evasion. Them "good ole boys ain't afraid of them prisons or them what has been sent there"!!!! Mountainers are always free, they say.
