Question US

John McCain has shown symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease. Is McCain qualified to be President?

Peter Griffin July 25, 2008 17:58:02

1. Memory loss.
McCain forgot that he had a personal meeting with Paxson, head of Florida-based Paxson Communications, before he wrote FCC on Paxson's behalf, in his response to the Lobbygate. Even though he said that he did meet with Paxson in a deposition given in 2002. I'm sure McCain wouldn't lie.

2. Difficulty performing familiar tasks.
We don't know McCain's daily routine so we can't say anything here.

3. Problems with language.
McCain misspoke about Baghdad security last year after his visit there. Although he later apologized, one has to wonder what caused him to misspeak in the first place. He also misspoke saying that "US lives wasted" in Iraq. Why is he misspeaking so frequently?

4. Disorientation to time and place.
No evidence.

5. Poor or decreased judgment.
Voting against the tax cut showed his good judgment. His recent support for the same tax cut indicates huge decrease in judgment. And we're not even started on Iraq...

6. Problems with abstract thinking.
The jury is still out on this one.

7. Misplacing things.
An incident when McCain misplaced his feather caused a brief panic in the campaign.

8. Changes in mood or behavior.
McCain's mood swings are well documented.

9. Changes in personality.
We watched McCain changing from a "maverick" to someone dependent on Bush.

10. Loss of initiative.
No sign of this.

Out of 10 symptoms, McCain shows positive on 6. It's time for him to see a doctor. Let's show some support for McCain's health and urge him to see a doctor.

There’s no clear-cut line between normal changes and warning signs. It’s always a good idea to check with a doctor if a person’s level of function seems to be changing. The Alzheimer’s Association believes that it is critical for people diagnosed with dementia and their families to receive information, care and support as early as possible.
Yes. Alzheimer's can never be definitively diagnosed unless by biopsy.
No. Alzheimer's disease is not a joke, this man doesn't qualify to be president

McCain's ok. I worry about Obama:

    Obama's profile:

    1. Memory loss.
Obama does not remember working with Bill Ayers in Chicago, even though he was intimately involved with him in several bogus associations that blew their grant money on stupid and ineffectual community programs.

    2. Difficulty performing familiar tasks.
Difficulty reading teleprompter has been documented. Without the teleprompter he has been shown to babble er, ah, um, doh etc.

    3. Problems with language.
Occasionally speaks in tongues or appears to do so. Also requires almost continual usage of teleprompter to be understood.

    4. Disorientation to time and place.
When on his European campaign gambit, he didn't know where he was much of the time.

    5. Poor or decreased judgment.
His judgment is impaired. Just look at what he's promising if he's elected. Trillions of dollars in spending.

    6. Problems with abstract thinking.
His abstract thinking is impaired and evident for all to see.

    7. Misplacing things.
His misplaced ideas for what is good for America are well known.

    8. Changes in mood or behavior.
We see his mood and behavior change when his teleprompter fails. Wahhhhhhhh.

    9. Changes in personality.

He,he! I have the book, "Dreams From My Father." His father herded goats. His grandfather was a cook. He learned from the British. His grandfather was industrious, and made, by Kenyan standards, a life of wealth with land and crops. By no means the kind of wealth found here. Not in the least like Eddie Murphy's "Coming To America," movie.
His father married a woman, and they had a child. Because of the Civil Right's movement 1955-1965, it enabled his father to study in the USA.
His father was smart, and benefitted from the Kennedy's scholarship fund. His father left his African wife and Barack's half sister to come here and study. Whereupon Barack's father met and married his mother in 1960, then had him in 1961. What?

Did you even read what I wrote? How could he have been born before the Civil Rights Movement when he was born in 1961??? I repeat..The Civil Rights Movement started in 1955 until 1965. He is 47 years old. Is it so hard to realize it?

Dahacks must have been born after the Civil Rights Movement. I personally knew several Kenyans in college whose life story parallelled that of Obama's father. And guess what? Their culture allowed them to have more than one wife so they had no problem in their own minds marrying an American woman. They didn't always tell the second wife they were already married. They also took their turns herding the Father's goats, cows, etc. I am 61 years old but I personally told a Nigerian to f off when I found out he was already married but didn't bother to tell me.

I'm with you. My husband came back with Hep C. Fortunately he has a strong immune system and has fought it off for over 40 years. Many others from that era are dead. The Vietnam war keeps on giving and giving. My husband is not happy with McCain either but feels he has no other choice. I say Obama is for me. I have a choice.

Are you a young guy? Because if you are that explains why you side with him so much. Check back a few years on his record, and not what you read on here, or on slanderous websites. If anything, find a good factcheck website or public records is probably best.

Some people have jobs, family, and a social life to deal with on a daily basis. A certain few have so much free time on their hands that, when not playing with themselves in the dark, they spew out conspiracy clap trap, political opinions, and "left-field" bashing of those with whom they disagree in the political or social arena. Plant a "possibility' and see if it can grow into a groundswell of uninformed outrage. Wow, what a way to give HOPE and forment CHANGE! Ha! Be careful when you are playing with yourself or with others (sic).

P.S.-Do you think that maybe Obama has some variation of early Alzheimer's as shown by his record of listening (?) to the rantings, ravings, and racist rages of the Reverend (?) Jeremiah Wright for 20 years without ever hearing anything "negative" come out of Reverend Wright's mouth during that span of time. Perhaps Mr. Obama suffers from hearing loss or occasional auditory dementia. And some wonder why Obama claims Bill Ayers was "just a neighbor." Right!

Yes, he is qualified. Obama thinks there are 57 states. he does not know where the Great Lakes are located. he spoke in 4 cities without knowing where he was. He spoke at the Convention stating he was in one city when in fact he was in a different city. Obama can't remember where he was born. Obama can't remember when he did drugs or with whom. Obama can't remember how long he knew certain people. Obama can't remember being in a racist church. Obama can't remember if he likes ot wear a flag pin or not. Obama can't remember if he wants to disenfranchise Florida and Michigan or if he wants there vote. Obamam can't remember if he was selected or elected. Obamam can't remember if he needs Hillary or doesn't. Obama can't remember his positions on policy or any issue. Obama can't remember how to speak so he always has to have a teleprompter. I could go on and on...but long entires are boring...just like Obama!!

    Grampy McSame:
    1) cheated on his first wife, divorced her while she was disabled and wouldn't pay for her medical bills. (the tab was picked up by Perot)

    2) was # 5 of the Keating five; congressmen who tried to coerce the Federal Home Bank Board into cancelling their investigation of Lincoln Savings and Loan which was operated by Charles Keating who had made significant contributions to Grampy's compaign.

    3) continued to deregulate the banking industry to create the horrible economic mess we are in today

4)is only a maverick in the sense he goes against his party during press conferences to cry about spending that is not going to HIS district. Remember the most dangerous place in Washington is between McSame and a camera

chris dodd = chair of the senate banking committee. used the position to line his pocket, and then look the other way. he is the only one who took more money than obama from freddie and fannie. you don't see them out front denying any of this. if tehy could deny it they would. you know how boisterous and bellicose they get when they are denying anything else...
four of the keating five were democrats who got CONVICTED. McCain was exonerated. one of the convicts' lawyers noted that McCain should never have been a party to those investigations...
barney frank = finance chair in the house FOUGHT WITH ALL HIS MIGHT against oversight of fannie and freddie. heaven knows how many $MM he took to look the other way, especially when his ex-boyfriend was running either freddie or fannie. that could be one reason he was so gung-ho getting congress to pass the bailout bill. pretty soon they all will be staring down the barrell of the investigators' guns. they would probably 'go out' like the guy from the crooked E - enron
