Joel Osteen rebukes the Apostles Paul, Peter and John.

Joel Osteen has said the Apostles of the New Testament are wrong and out of date and need to be corrected. Really? Calling them wrong and in need of correction is calling God wrong! How can Osteen have the nerve to call himself a man of God while making remarks like this?

    With Osteen there's no need for an atonement because there's no sin. He picks out the passages of scripture that make him smile and preaches, out of context, on them. The icky passages that deal with the fallen human condition and God's plan of redemption are left out. Even the gospel is too troubling for his feel-good theology, because it involves the shedding of blood. Blood shed for sinners.

    Joel Osteen became Pastor after his Father died and has no Biblical training. The church just handed it over to his son and the rest you see now is a feflection if Last Days heresy and make no Mistake.....

    Osteen preaches what people WANT to hear. I no longer believe in any of this nonsense, but I have noticed that Osteen preaches that God wants us all to be wealthy and prosperous. He lives in a multi million dollar home and distorts the Bible's teachings to make his own needs and desires fit God's teachings instead of the other way around.
    Me? I don't understand why there is so much concentration on homosexuality condemnation in the Bible. In the link you posted it condems other sins to be AS grievous as homosexuality, yet it is this ONE issue that everyone gets all upset about!

    In my opinion, Joel Osteen has not called the Apostles "wrong," he's clarifying what has been misinterpreted in the Bible. Joel Osteen is bringing Christianity up to the 21st century and he is doing a great job by adhering to the teaching of Jesus, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

    Clarifying? I see it as re-writing it to fit his own lifestyle. He's incredibly wealthy, so he changes the warning about the love of money being the root of all evil (i.e.) 'It will be easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven", to a version that allows him to be filthy rich ....'God wants us all to be wealthy and prosperous.'
    It says no such thing in the Bible, but instead warns us of amassing material things and encourages followers to give away all their earthly goods and 'follow in Christ's footsteps.
