BillySteve September 10, 2009 04:33:50

About time someone called that Flim Man what he is; a Liar!

I am however dissapointed he apologized. Like I tell my kids the truth hurts, nobody likes to hear it but the truth is nothing to be sorry for. How often do you get the chance to call him out on his lies?

    I think.....

I applaud the passion of Joe Wilson, However it was wrong for him to interrupt the President in that setting!!!! I would not call it an insult, racism or any of the other stuff the liberals have insinuated.

    I think.....

It is what it is. Call it out.

Sad that it had to be done the way it was, but seems to me that is the only way to truly get anyone's attention. Joe called it like he saw it. Maybe now we will see some change, hopefully??? I also think that many have come to respect Mr. Wilson for his willingness to speak out against what we all know is happening.

Joe Wilson is a hero, for calling it like he saw it. There was nothing in the bill to stop illegals for getting in on the Gov. cheese

Actually, he is the only one who has even tried to stand up for us or for anything since Obama was elected. I give him hat's off. And by the way, did anybody notice he got the change he was after? That says it all. Who cares if Pelosi doesn't like it.

"After seeing the Democrats demand yet another apology from Rep. Joe Wilson, I called his office and told him I was 110% behind him, and that he told the truth, namely that Obama is a liar. So he violated 'House decorum' -- big deal. Many members of Congress violate their oath of office every single day and you don't hear about it. Did Barney Frank not violate some House rule by allowing a homosexual prostitution ring to operate in his DC home? I suggested he should tell the Democrats he will apologize on the floor of Congress when Congress apologizes to the American people for trampling on our Constitution." --Geneva, Illinois
"While I cannot argue that Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst in the hallowed halls of Congress was out of step with traditional decorum, the central point has not been addressed -- was the president lying in his address? If Wilson was wrong -- if the president was not lying -- then to do anything other than resign his office shows Wilson to be the basest sort of politician. If, on the other hand, the president was indeed lying and Wilson was doing his American duty in pointing that out, how could he think of apologizing? Perhaps Wilson should assemble his evidence and publicize it or, if wrong, fade into the merciful obscurity that awaits cowards." --Redding, ...

The news around here rings with how inappropriate Representative Joe Wilson's comments were, but it seems to me, he was just doing what the president stated he would do: call out the misrepresentations. Once again, Mr. Obama is proving that he is bilingual -- able to speak out of both sides of his mouth quite easily." --Newman, California

Representative Wilson was wrong to insult our President!

    Wilson apologizes -- ASAP

Joe Wilson (R-SC) has issued an apology for heckling President Obama, about an hour after the speech -- a clear sign the GOP realizes just how damaging his performance was.

    His statement:

“This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.”

Representative Wilson was wrong to insult our President!

Now, that was a "racist" action. Agree or disagree, President Obama is due the same respect as the 43 presidents before him. Of all the presidents, what gave Yee-Ha, Billy, Joe, Bob, Wilson, Sin-a-ta from the great, seceding State of Soth Cal-ina, the "balls" (or lack of brains) to insult the President in a nationally aired, Congressional forum? Only other, disrespectful, weak, insecure, half-developed creatures would condone such an insult....

I respectfully disagree that President O deserves the same respect as the 43 presidents before him. Respect is earned. It's a sad day for the US government. There are not many folks in Washington these days that deserve to be respected. Most should be locked up.

I also disagree that Rep. Wilson was weak, insecure or half developed. Frankly I believe what he did took a lot of courage.

I agree that most should be locked up -- those still attempting to keep the myth of so-called white supremacy alive. It doesn't take "courage" for a hating racist to call a person of color a liar. That's all part of his character. Sh-it will always stink. It just cant' help itself.

I think when the US starts to have "thought crime" that people of color will get locked up faster and stay in there longer.

Illegals are covered because the Democrats refuse to exclude them. (Twice) And Obama saying they aren't included, it is a lie. Joe just happens to be the first Republican to declare he isn't like all of the other spineless weasels in his party.

I would agree with you but unfortunately, like all other Republicans, he cowered when confronted by his party's leaders. Although he was right, he turned out to be another spineless politician that would not stick to his guns.

What Representative Wilson did was in poor taste, however I agree that President Obama has been less than candid about this plan.

Mr. Wilson should have waited to act like a pre-schooler after the speech.

What Representative Wilson did was in poor taste, however I agree that President Obama has been less than candid about this plan.

I'm a big believer that one does things at a proper time and place. The President deserves to give a speech without any interruption.

On the other hand, I think that Mr. Obama has been less than candid about his "health care", especially with the speed that he's been urging everyone in Congress to make in passing it. I suspect that, like the stimulus plan, there is some freebies for some people, to be paid for out of our hides.

I cannot see with twenty million illegal immigrants how the "Plan" will avoid covering them. So I think that Mr. Obama is either being a liar in his speech or he's glossing over an aspect of the plan that has not been debated yet. In either case, a lot of us outside of the Beltway are doing a slow burn....

So, in a sense, Mr. Wilson speaks for many of us, who are tired of being conned by Republicans and Democrats who do things for our "own good" without asking us what we really want.

We're not children, Mr. Obama. Quit treating us like them. We can add, subtract multiply and divide and we know that you can't "cover the uninsured" without extending this to people in the US who are not here legally. Simple logic.

Obama the Liar. Enough said. It doesn't take a genius to see that Obama can't even remember how many uninsured there are, 47 million is now 30 million. Somehow 17 million have gotten insured and we didn't even have Obama's plan (he has no plan), maybe doing nothing is the best plan.

I agree except that once the President lies, he looses all credibility and the speech is no longer an informative speech but an attempt to intimidate, threaten, indoctrinate, etc.
