Joe Scarborough raged against right-wing bloggers on Tuesday's
"Morning Joe," following their criticism of former Florida governor Jeb
Bush.
Bush said Monday that Ronald Reagan and his father George H.W. Bush "would have a hard time" with today's ultra-conservative party. He was criticized by Grover Norquist, the lobbyist who enlisted most Republicans in Congress to sign a pledge against new taxes.
When asked what he made of the remarks, Scarborough railed against
critics who have called the former governor a "RINO" (Republican in name
only). He claimed that "the future of the Republican party" belongs to
conservatives like himself and Bush, not Norquist.
Then directing his message to conservative bloggers, Scarborough
said, "You know, you can go online and act like a jackass and say what
you want to say. And now everybody is calling Jeb Bush a RINO. Just shut
the hell up."
"You can stay in your mother’s basement, you can eat your Cheetos,
you can type on your dinty laptop, that’s all you got," he continued.
"But you are not the future of the Republican party, so keep screaming
at your walls downstairs, your day is done."

Farnsworth 2012/06/13 13:48:37No he is wrong.

the way he scammed the electoral system ..
got elected to office ..
then QUIT to take that big $$$ job with the msm ..
He's not even worthy of listening to ..
much less taking seriously ..
just another one who sold out .. when the price was (as he determined) 'right' ..
he needs to be ignored ..
I'm glad he spoke up. There are other moderates in the GOP but they will not step up for this reason. Back lash from the radical right and the crazed Tea Party. My guess is Jeb Bush realizes that if Romney wins, the country will be crashing in no time . 2016 will look good for him.
You know something is wrong when: the party of Abraham Lincoln favors European Capitalism over the American School of economics; the party of Teddy Roosevelt suggests cutting off funding for National Parks; a party runs against its borrow and spend legacy; a party says it is Conservative (against change) and advocates massive changes to the structure of the federal government; a party claims to support family values while trying to deny a husband to make health care choices for his comatose wife; a party claims to support property rights while seeking to deny a woman control of her own womb; claims to support liberty while advocating a larger standing army.....do I really need to go on?
Today, those who call themselves Republicans are neither Republicans nor Conservatives.
