Joe Miller Needs Our Help!!!

STU~RWAC~POTL~PWCM~JLA October 15, 2010 07:39:28
As you are probably aware, Tea Party hero Joe Miller won his primary election for US Senator from Alaska, beating out "Democrat In Disguise" Lisa Murkowski. Murkowski, about a week after losing the primary, announced that she was going to run as an independent "write-in" candidate. Despite the fears that this would split the GOP vote down the middle, and hand the win to Democrat Soctt McAdams, Murkowski's skullduggery had minimal impact on the polls, until now.

At present, the latest CFG poll has Miller in the lead with 33%, Murkowski at 31%, and McAdams at 27%. Murkowski is rising so fast that it may not be McAdams who wins, but Murkowski. This would be a real tragedy, since Murkowski is an Obama liberal, not a mere GOP RINO.

I've been supporting Joe Miller financially both through his primary fight and his general election campaign. Murkowski's "write-in" stunt is pure immorality, as she stated publicly after losing the primary she would stand down. To put it simply, she lied.

Joe Miller is running a purely grassroots campaign, and cannot count on big contributions from all the beneficiaries of Murkowski's largesse (earmarks and pork), past and potentially future. Unlike the seedy Murkowski, Joe is endorsed by credible, trustworthy conservatives like Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham.

FEC reports show that McAdams has raised $685,000, meaning he has a chance to raise his poll numbers even higher. But Murkowski is in a class by herself regarding funding. A single liberal PAC is spending over $600,000 in "soft money" to run a massive ad blitz supporting Murkowski and attacking Miller. And this is just a small sampling of the support she is getting from the statists.

I know times are tough, and money is tight, but if you can help, this is one man worth fighting for. Joe Miller has an impeccable TPM platform, and will fight hard to put a stop to the Obama agenda. But time is short, and Joe needs extra money to fight Murkowski's unethical backstab.

If you can afford to, please make a donation (small or large) to Joe's campaign by clicking here, which will take you to Joe's official contribution page. Please also go viral on this thread, so the maximum possible number of people see it.

Thank you for your patriotism. Sadly, freedom isn't "free." The only way to block the Obama program, before we throw him out on his ear in 2012, is to vote a Congress into place in November that Obama can no longer control. Joe Miller can and will meet this challenge, if we can rise up and prevent Lisa Murkowski from stealing his rightly won primary.
You!

It's a complex dynamic. Alaskans are used to pork (Stevens, Murkowski, etc.), and Miller is a true conservative, not a standard GOP centrist. So it's not surprising that he's fighting a tough battle. The really strange thing here is that Murkowski likely ran as an independent to hand the win to McAdams (either out of anger at losing the primary, or at the behest of Democratic interests). The odd thing is that Murkowski is doing so well she could actually win the election.

Stu I have contributed earlier but I am tapped out as I am trying to help the Arizona sheriffs as well. There was a good discussion on this particular race on FOX last night so maybe it will rile up the folks for some money. There was also a discussion about the legality of what she is doing as far as the Alaska Constitution was concerned.

OK, and thanks for the info. Hopefully Lisa will drop out in time, but somehow I doubt it. My guess is she ran to split the vote up and hand the election to McAdams, but she is doing so well she could actually win the election.

I turned around and decided to go on a diet this week and donate money to Miller. I am glad my Christmas shopping is done and paid for! The biggest gift that I would want would be a Republican victory. No she was angry that she lost the Republican primary. There was an Alaska Court decision tonight that no hand outs for write in candidate instructions could be handed out near the poling places. Although she was a Republican she was an Obama sympathizer. It could be that she changed her mind and decided to take votes away from Miller and let the Dem win. The latest pole shows Miller with a slight win over both of them.

I don't know if you heard about the voting machine irregularities in Texas. Guess who is in charge of the voting machines? SEIU. How did this happen?!!

    Hi Barbara,

Congrats on your diet, and thanks for the contribution to Joe.

I agree Murkowski was angry about losing the GOP primary, and wished to make Joe lose. But I still think she had no idea she could actually win; my bet is that she anticipated the win would clearly go to McAdams.

I did hear about the voting machine irregularities. Whether these were honest calibration errors, or deliberate tampering, is not yet known. The SEIU connection is very disturbing, as they are both strong supporters of liberals, as well as recipients of liberal inspired funding.

I just heard this morning that he is getting more help from Republican groups. I also heard that he used a govenment computer for GOP causes and is being hit over the head with it at present. I admire anyone who can stand up to all the recriminations that are used against them. Yet we have an occupant of the White House that had all his short comings frozen and his true intensions concealed by lies from the voters. This is a sorry case of misrepresentation. It makes the use of a government computer trivial by comparison.

    Hi,

Thnaks so much for supporting Miller!!! He's a great man, and one we can be really proud of.

The most recent survey, an automated one-day poll from Rasmussen, has Miller at 35 percent, Murkowski at 34 percent and McAdams at 27 percent. So Miller at the moment is doing slightly worse than my initial report (in relative terms). This is not surprising. The initial expectation was that Murkowski's write-in bid would split the GOP vote down the middle, handing the win to McAdams. Instead, what seems to be happening is that she's siphoning votes from both Miller and McAdams. In other words, her initial goal may have been to destroy Miller, but the end result is that she could win, because she is rising so quickly in the polls. In spite of Miller's current 1 point lead, I think Murkowski will probably beat him.

Murkowski is loved in AK, because those of less than patriotic mind love the pork she has sent there. Miller, on the other hand, has stated publicly on his Issues page that he will not fight for federal funds for AK unless the nation benefits as a whole. He's really putting his you know what on the line to be completely ethical. This is the same problem pol's like Michele Bachmann, Mike Lee, and Pat Toomey have. He's really putting his you know what on the line to be completely ethical. This is the same problem pol's like Michele Bachmann, Mike Lee, and Pat Toomey have. They tell the absolute truth, and propose unpopular but critically necessary measures to save the country, and sacrifice votes in the process. The message is "no pain, no gain." Miller is up for it, but the question is whether or not AK voters have the stomach for the program (big cuts in spending, equitable taxes, and an end to federal activism). It's the right answer, but getting from where we are now to what the founding fathers had in mind is going to take alot of personal sacrifice by all.

I'm all pumped up by Miller's message, and I hope many of his kind are sent to office in two weeks.

You know when the "journ-o-lists" start distracting attention away from issues to nonsense, they are trying to silence someone telling the truth!

Murkowski's (earmarks and pork) agenda is what is wrong with politicians today, at the very least she is a poor loser. She is just another career politician who thinks the seat is hers and not the people's.
I wouldn't be surprised if the dems are supporting her. In PA we have a dem Brian Lentz whose supporters who worked for weeks to get a candidate on the ballot to split the vote of the repubs.
It's a disgraceful way to campaign and we have had enough of politicians who play these games! Thanks to their dirty tactics, I am now fully behind Meehan and Toomey!

The poser "tea party" candidate is so extreme, that is why Brian Lentz and his staff and supporters worked so hard to get him on the ballot. They are making a farce out of the vote and I cannot tolerate that.
(He is not endorsed by any tea party group.)
The dirty tricks and outrageous "throw it out there and see if it sticks" tactics of the democrats today have caused me much pain.
I am so ashamed that i was an active democrat for 23 years and would not even shake a hand of any of the politicians that I helped elect, especially Joe Sestak.
