The real number is much higher! The government has a nasty way of doing accounting when it comes to economic indicators; including the jobless rate. This figure does not include all those who are out of work and no longer qualify for unemployment benefits.

Obama is a enemy of the State. His stimulus package was a huge waste of money and the claim that it created jobs is pure malarkey. There again, the jobs created included jobs they "think" were retained. Obama's accounting is about as accurate as Al Gore's global warming "science".

There was a time in Russia that weathermen were thrown in prison for reporting the weather inaccurately. That is what I believe should happen to reporters who report in a misleading way. No I believe they should be flogged publicly. Yea, bring public flogging to the states.

Add 7-9% that is not recorded and that will be more accurate.

I feel for and agree with everyone of these TRUE AMERICAN CITIZENS who have lost MORE than just jobs, heck, their HOMES AND SOOO MUCH MORE. I know, everytime I and my husband turn around, we are lacking for the payment of something or the other. so far, though, I AM thankful, that we have been having food to eat and can take care of our kitties and keep our home. We just recently turned back in a car we had been making payments on and out of my first disability check, went out and bought a cheapie Windstar Van. It's very nice, the people who had it before us kept it up really well. We were lucky, but then the transmission started 'bucking' and still does. Needless to say, we keep close into town, just in case something rotten happens!!! Yes, we need to send these mexicans off somewhere in the middle of the ocean and just dump them there and tie an anchor to the boat, so that they can't come back. Then, we need to completely seal off the borders and cut out this welfare system once and for all. If ONE race can't be helped by the government, then NO race should be helped. It wasn't supposed to be a race thing anyways. I get SOOOOOOO MAD when I see some of these black people and these mexicans who COULD work and pay taxes stand in line at a store with a couple of baske...

HELL! MY CHILD NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD!!! (oh, i keep forgetting, he was half white.) (half white half Iranian) Don't jump me please because of this, I WAS STUPID!!!!! No doubt about that, but my son, I love him more than life itself. I always have and always will. May you all be blessed and may your troubles be straightened out and also, may you find peace and happiness. NOW, LET'S ALL GET TOGETHER, STICK TOGETHER AND FIGHT LIKE HELL TO GET OUR COUNTRY BACK!!!!!

First there was the emergency stimulus that had to passed right away before congressmen could read it to keep unemployment below 9%. Now, the health care bill wihich will add another 1.2 trillion to our budget at least. It will probably raise the rates on private insurance and also cut services in medicare and cut out Chips. Finally, they are ready to sign cap and trade which at best will raise energy prices, and if they sign the UN treaty,we will be paying a heavy load in world taxes (as if we dont have enough taxes already). They keep putting the nail in this country's coffin. They are also trying to knock the American people down to thier knees, and we will have to beg for thier mercy. I beg for a job, I beg for insurance because I cant afford the raise in private insurance rates and I'm afraid of going to debtors prison, I beg for enough heat to kept my home from freezing, and finally, I beg for some recognition of American indenity after we lose our soveignty to the UN.

They haven't read anything they have passed yet before passing it. They admit that Christine. Not the Stimulus, the Omnibus, Cap & Tax, etc, etc. It's time for a serious change.

There's an estimate sitting at 22.5 percent right now. That's probably close.

This disaster of a president thinks that creating/saving a job (according to him) at an average cost of almost $304,000.00 per job (your tax-dollars at work), is a REAL bargain!

OH BOY!!!! My $45,000.00 average per year job as a teacher only cost the tax-payer $304,000.00!!!!! Apparently, this FOOL and his administration aren't very good at math!

    Frog, you're a Prince ...

    for being a Smile-Spreader today.

We're aware of sell-outs messing up things, but I feel hopeful to know we have representatives (like Liberman and Graham) who are fighting for our Rights. The 'hidden' contents of that healthcare plan is a monstrosity. This proposed bill should be called, HEALTHCARE REFORM OF DOOM, BILL NO. 666 (as it is).

"I WANT TO GIVE 'SPECIAL DIBS' TO OUR REPS IN WASHINGTON WHOM STAND STRONG FOR THE PEOPLE ... THANK YOU, AND MAY GOD BLESS". Men/women of character know, in their hearts, 'Good deeds bring just rewards'.

They or standing for the People what people may I ask. This is not only white america this is every national ehtic group america. So what you might think is good maynot be good to everyone else. I frown on people that will rather have insurance company make profits but will not have the Government run a health care. I will ask what or your grandparents on? Do any have SSI or Medicad? If so it was the GOP or Republican that fought against these social government benefits that or now helping seniors and people with health issues. So what or u saying on here that we need to let people die over here because they can't afford health care. My question to all GOP and Republican or we saying we can spend billions on wars and to help other countries but we can't spend a dime on helpiing our fellow Americans? Your party is sick and they or not worring about you they or worring staying in office. I hope one day people will stop playing politics and understand if we as American don't start fighting toghether for all American and get out of Politics for as Democrat or Republican american going to lose all the time don't matter who in office. Was President Bush any better he was a Republican or GOP?

The government has never run anything but a bureaucratic mess. What makes you think they can run this nation's health care system? Health care is a privilege, it isn't a right and never will be as far as the majority are concerned. 87% of people with health care are happy with their coverage. The government needs to stay out of it. They have run Medicare, and Social Security to ther brink of bankruptcy. You need to come to grips with your Nanny State ideas.
