Jews and Muslims have always rejected as idolatry the sacred Christian dogma that Jesus was God’s son and they abhor the idea that a loving God would allow a horrific torture and sacrifice of His own child. Are they wrong?

Jews and Muslims are right. Jesus was not God’s son and a loving God would never allow a horrific torture and sacrifice of His own child
Jews and Muslims are wrong. Jesus was God’s son and a loving God did allow a horrific torture and sacrifice of His own child
A Christian witnessing for Christ is no different than a Pagan witnessing for Atlas or Hercules.

    So I've been a Christian most of my life, I was married to a Muslim for many years, so I researched the religion so I knew what it was he believed, Many of the things I learned actually changed my way of thinking about some things. There were many "a-ha !" moments where something I read would make perfect sense. During that time I also prayed at times, tried to dress more modestly and fasted for Ramadan, which was a very spiritual experience each time.I saw what it was like to be part of a your average American Muslim family, and I am so grateful for that knowledge and experience. I feel like I am a better person for being beyond the rumors and propaganda and lies that a lot of people have about Muslims. However after I divorced I realized that I really did not have the self discipline to be a Muslim and eventually found the church I belong to today, which is the Untiy movement. I believe that Jesus is as much a son of God as all of us are. I believe Mary was a virgin when she concieved, because all God has to do is say "be" and it is. We call Jesus the way shower because he was able to connect with the divine Christ within himself to become the embodiment of who God wants us to be. I beleive that everyone has the right to choose the way they worship and that there is truth in...

I beleive that everyone has the right to choose the way they worship and that there is truth in all religons. There are many paths you can take to God, they all lead to the same place. It's a very personal experience and if it helps you connect to God then draw inspiration from where you find it. We don't talk about evil or sin, we give no power to any of that. Unity is a unique family and we welcome anyone into our church, no matter what race, sexul orientation,religious affiliation...whatever. I don't know if anyone knows the exact truth, but this is my truth and I would never tell anyone else how they should act or believe or worship.

    Ultimately, this issue boils down to what people CHOOSE to believe.

    The three basic choices are these:

    1) There's a God who loved His creation so much that He gave His only Son (or sacrificed a part of Himself) to save it;

    2) A cruel, sadistic and vengeful God who gets off on blaming/torturing people for things they didn't do;

    3) There is, or there is in all likelihood, no god.

    Sure, there are variations on each of the three themes, but these are the basic choices which summarize all of the world's belief systems. I for one CHOOSE to believe #1 is true. Some (including fundamentalist Muslims, Jews and Christians) CHOOSE to believe #2 is true. Atheists/agnostics CHOOSE to believe #3 is true.

    Just as you can tell a lot about a person by the kind of trash s/he takes to the curb, you can tell a lot about the character of a person who CHOOSES to believe either way.

    The question then becomes with whom would you rather associate. With whom would you entrust your life or your family if something happened to you? Would you trust your life/your family with someone who believed in/worshiped a loving God? How about one who believed in/worshiped a sadistic monster? How about one who chose to believer there was no god at all?

    That Jesus is not the Son of God
    God has nothing to show born as the Scriptures and the Qur'an that God created everything in the universe in which we live.

    And isn't that enough ? If we can all agree that there is one God, Presence,Spirit whatever we name it, then certainly we can agree to let each other worship in peace. Peace being the operative word here. I think we could all get along together in this world if we let each other be. If this church is not worried about what the other is doing...if this religion's followers respected the beliefs of another religions followers. It seems ironic that some who represent a certain religion, would feel it necessary to force another people to accept it.

    God gave us free will and it's up to us to use it wisely. He doesn't have to "allow"people to do anything...they're saying theses things on their own.

    I don't care because the Jews rejected their own Masiah, & I don't care about them. I also don't we should support Israel because of this. We are suppose to be a Christian nation.

    And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

    Us a plurality.
