Jesse Jackson Jr. Is Being Treated for a 'Mood Disorder': Is the Disorder Real or Fabricated?

What's a mood disorder? Ask Jesse Jackson Jr. According to his office, the Democratic Representative from Illinois is "receiving intensive medical treatment at a residential treatment facility for a mood disorder." But don't worry: he's "expected to make a full recovery."

So, what does having a mood disorder even mean? There was a time when they used to call it having a "nervous breakdown," but now the description for the mental illness has been replaced with something much more clinical and politically correct. "Mood disorders" can either stem from depression or mania and when combined, can even lead to bipolar disorder. But calling it a "mood disorder" is opening up a whole new can of worms. Do you think the disorder is legitimate -- or is it just a simple case of stress and anxiety?

WASHINGTONPOST.COM reports:
Rep. Jesse Jackon Jr.’s exact diagnosis isn’t known; “mood disorders,” however, generally come as either depression or mania, or a combination of both.

He's either an alcoholic or he's hopped up on drugs....either way he should be kicked out of politics.

He learned to play the 'victim' from one of the best known 'victim/race hustlers-baiters' around...his Father.

I will continue to post my supposed-liberal views because SodaHead says I can do so, without threats, intimidation, and continual dogging. Call me Anything you want, but as you have shown, you are a 'Smash and Run" responder. Take responsibility for your actions.

To my knowledge, the only human who truely qualifies for that statement is Jesus....Either he--Jesse Jr.-- is going to get better, or he isn't, nobody knows that better than his father, who is acutely aware of just how long his son's legislative seat can be held without an election to fill it. We will most likey Never Know the entire story of what is really going on with this young man. Regardless, He continues treatment in whatever facility he is in, that is his right, as it is a right of You, or me, or any other SH reading this question, regardless of what others say, think, suspect we have done.

I didn't compare the Jackson family to Jesus...Re-read Your statement, Then, my answer. Yeah, Jesse Sr,'s 'Uh-oh moments' were well documented in the media. Jesse Jr. may very well be in dire need of mental health medical attention. What has spawned that need has yet to be seen, named, or admitted to. We will very likely never have the whole story.

There are a lot of disorders common to western civilization and are often caused by our poor diets loaded with toxic chemicals as well as other factors in our environment. Some health and lifestyle reforms can fix a lot of those issues.

Sure, deciding to take care of our health rather than lining up in front of doctors for our monthly pill supply is a liberal idea.

It's not liberal views, it's scientific views. The number of mental illness in America has been increasing and a large part of it is due to our diet.
  • teigan kir 2012/07/13 01:14:18

Probably real. Suck some dust up you nose, smoke a few joints, and pretty soon the mind will blow some circuits and not function very well. Let that be a lesson to you pot heads out there who are living on the edge of the cliff. When you begin to repeat the "Dude", and "Hey, Man", and "F**** you", you will have only a few more days before waking up in the hopsital or jail in a canvass coat.

I understand your affliction that explains how you confuse Jessee and Barack. Indeed, they are both black men that causes some people to
say "they all look alike". If you have a sober day, perhaps you will want
