48 counts decided by this jury and read individually per 8 victims. Nine of the jurors are connected to Penn State. This was the man slated to take over as Penn State's football coach for legend, Joe Paterno.

I KNEW IT!!! Aren't all his children adopted and boys??
So were they the ones fighting for him not to see his grand-kids?
I recall some court case where he was pushing to continue seeing his grand-kids, which I thought was creepy and weird during a molestation investigation.

I knew the one boy was adopted, but I don't know about the rest. As hard as it would have been, if his kids came forward and told what happened, they might have prevented some of those other kids from getting molested.

Unfortunately, Not true. All they need to do is go to an endroconologist and get a prescription for Testrostorine and their perversion is as good as new.

In reality there is really only one "cure",
but the laws don't consider pedophilia a capitol offense.

Thank you for the info. I didn't know that a prescription could now be applied.

Some years ago, our neighbor's son-in-law was convicted twice for pedophilia. The second conviction resulted in him being just that...castrated. But that's been no less than 15 years ago or so.

Hormone therapy for testicle cancer patients has been around for 25 years or more. Chemical castration is nothing new either but can be offset by the addition of Testosterone and they go out and offend all over again.

Granted it is a mental illness, but it is also incurable.

Can a judge order the chemical castration? If I remember correctly, the case I mentioned, he couldn't have been the first time because he went on to violate again but the second time might he have been ordered?

I guess I have never thought too much about the ins and outs of the particulars in pedophilia, and the results of when they are found out. Only that its about the most awful thing you can do to a child.

I would love to know how much Penn State Adminstration knew of this.

What a sad and pathetic ending to a man's life and career. Those who harbored, protected and turned a blind eye are just as guilty. No one can make me believe that more didn't know about his dispicable behavior to our most vulnerable, the children who suffered.

Exactly. The last I heard regardless of the crime, U.S. citizens still are entitled to a fair trial. I know there are many on the Right that would just as soon send an alleged criminal straight to the gallows, (especially if they were on the Left),. but unless there is an Amendment in the works and considering this inept, mediocre current Supreme Court would pass one, even a dispicable cretin such as Sandosky, still has that right.
