Jerry Sandusky pleaded "not guilty" in court for sexually abusing children on 45 counts, but the former Penn State football coach was found guilty for the acts and has finally been sentenced. Sandusky will spend at least 30 years in prison, though he may spend a maximum of 60 years behind bars.
This is, effectively, a life sentence for the 68-year-old former college football coach. Sandusky is also restricted from being granted parole before the minimum term is up, under Pennsylvania law. Do you think justice was finally served in the Sandusky case? Or will the victims never get over the violation of being sexually abused at such a young age?

she did nothing wrong and yet was by his side (and presumably unaware of his transgressions) for all those years. Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to the facts
around this one.
Sex offenders rarely change and it is not fair to victims that they roams freely in society.
But the State should revise its sentencing and offer a new kind of sentence, like what they have in California:
L-WOPP.
Life With-Out the Possibility of Parole.
I want to build a special exile camp for sex offenders. Let's call it Camp Sierra Echo X-ray. Build it on the grounds of Joint Base Elmendorf, or maybe the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory on the Lyme road, just outside Hanover, NH. Someplace nice and cold. Let them field-test Army cold-weather gear.
Maybe we should send them to north Korea for the holidays.
I prefer to send such people into exile, in some nice, cold place. Call it Camp Sierra Echo X-ray. Build it on the grounds of Joint Base Elmendorf in Alaska. Or the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, along the Lyme Road between Hanover and Lyme, NH.
