THIS HOW WE WASTE MONEY,,

I'm sure many of these are necessary but this is ridiculous ...
This makes me nauseous. I mean, how much would we save if we did away with
these cushy payback committees? I'm sure the same goes on in all the other 49 States and 10 Provinces.

These are just the California State Agencies sucking the financial life out of the California economy:

And the politicians and functionaries in the California government say that
the only places they can cut expenses are in education, police and fire.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... The California Uniform Construction Cost
Accounting Commission? California History and Culture Agency?

It really doesn't matter what your political affiliation is. This list is
shocking to most outside of the California government maze and matrix.
Over the years, the politicians have created this enormous pork barrel of
agencies that employ well over 350,000 people directly, and countless
more via contracts with the state. All of these people get salaries,
medical coverage and pensions at our expense!

No wonder America is circling the drain...Send them all home!!

There is no way in Hell Brown would do that to his base. Maybe we should just give California back to Mexico since half the population is already there.

Walker definitely has the right idea, but Brown will never follow suit. As for making you nauseous, I'm with you on that one. Now all we need to do is to get a few more million to feel the same way and start screaming at their respective state governments and their respective DC congressmen. Good luck to us all.

Than you are not paying attention! Neenah gave their teachers a $10,000 raise. How is that taking from the working people?
How is it taking from the "working people" when the state is doing, at least, the same job as before while spending $1 billion less?

If I remember correctly, the first thing Snot did was give corporations a 2.3 billion tax cuts. The second thing was he cut school funding 1.6 billion. 2312 teachers got the boot from snot. 73% of Wisconsin school districts had to lay off teachers. So I can't figure how teachers are doing so well under snot. I would say old snot has the Robin Hood thing backwards. But everything about snot is backwards.

    First you are quite rude.

"the first thing Snot did was give corporations a 2.3 billion tax cuts."
.."the first thing (Walker) did upon taking office was call our legislature into special session to focus on jobs legislation, including tort reform" So I guess you are wrong on this.

"The second thing was he cut school funding 1.6 billion."
.."the budget ... cuts funding for public schools by $800 million" So guess you are wrong again. In addition Walker made it possible for the districts to manage their budgets enabling them to offset the reduced state aid. Obviously you do not believe anything anyone says about savings. The savings have been collected & posted at http://www.reforms.wi.gov/ by county. Check it out yourself.

    "2312 teachers got the boot."
..First the Governor does not lay off teachers. Since he couldn't have done it you are wrong again. Now lets talk about the number, 2312. Where did you get this number? The vast majority of said reduction was from retirements.

"73% of Wisconsin school districts had to lay off teachers."
..For 2003, WEAC reported 69 percent of school districts laid off teachers, 68 percent increased class size, and 51 percent cut back extracurricular activities.
For 2005, WEAC reported 62 percent of school districts laid off teachers, 74 percent incr...

For 2011, 31 percent of school districts laid off teachers, 59 percent increased class size, and eight (8) percent reduced extracurricular programming. Better in every category; much better both for the kids and for the teachers, since Walker took office.
WI DPI reports on 1,446 fewer teachers.
The reports I saw showed that the vast majority of layoffs occurred in the districts that rushed through their contracts before Act 10 passed.

Jeez , I'm wrong because he called the legislature into session first. well your wrong, because he first had to get out of bed, brush his teeth, put on his clothes on see how silly you get just to prove me wrong. Quit being so disingenuous, and technical.
I realize the governor doesn't lay off teachers, but his policies do. So again quit being so technical, you knew what I meant. I don't know about how many retirements were included in the 2312, but these retirements were forced by the cut in education. Your 69% of school districts cut teachers. Not much different then 73%, but I will believe the facts 73%.

Yet the only place that WI has lost teachers is in the districts that rushed their contracts through before act 10. There is reason to distrust the data from the DPI. I earlier saw data where the claim was some 4,000 teacher jobs lost, yet over 3,000 were from retirements. The retirements were not "forced". They were teachers that were so greedy that they took the benefits rather than teach the youth in their charge.

The "facts" I produced are directly from the Department of Public Instruction. So I would suggest that they have "some" weight. Even though they have been seen to change numbers that didn't favor the teacher union position.

I don't get this hate campaign against teachers, by your gang?? I remember when teachers were a respected profession. Everyone looked up to teachers. Students who gave their teachers credit for their success. Same with the parents. But since the right wing decided they want to privatize public education, and want to destroy public school system as we know it. Demonizing teachers is really evil. Teachers even have to buy supplies with there own money because of right wing politicians have cut funds to schools so drastic.

In Pennsylvania, the right wing governor and the right wing legislature completely defunded a school district that was mostly African-American, and the teachers in one school decided to teach for no wages, so these kids who were very poor could still get an education! You would never find any right winger in any profession be that dedicated. Shame on you and the rest of the right wing for treating teachers so shamefully

"I don't get this hate campaign against teachers" Hate teachers? No one hates teachers. Where do you get this wacky idea?
Perhaps teachers were respected they were more attuned to actually teaching the kids then what the union tells them to think & do.

"(S)ince the right wing decided they want to privatize public education" I presume this has something to do with vouchers & charter schools. Many charter schools are inside the system. Vouchers are not "privatizing" schools, they are giving parents a choice and providing Government schools with competition. Competition always improves the "product".

Nobody is "demonizing" teachers. It's the unions that are the problem! Teachers don't "HAVE" to buy supplies. The most obvious reason they do is the beauacracy they would have to wade their way through takes too long. Right Wings school cuts? Take a look at the cuts Gov Doyle (D) made to the schools. Those cuts actually hurt the schools.

"You would never find any right winger in any profession be that dedicated." Even if I did you'd simply reject it or call it a lie.

Of our last two Governors the teachers were treated the worst by the unions.

Lets see, where did I get that wacky idea that you and your gang hate teachers?? Hmmm, maybe because everyone sees it on S.H, newspapers, television ads, Republican governors that cut funds for schools, that ends up laying off teachers. BUT LETS USE YOUR HATEFUL DESCRIPTION FOR AN EXAMPLE. You call retiring teachers greedy, because they took their rightful benefits instead of staying to teach. Why wouldn't they, when you have governors and legislatures that are doing everything they can to take those wages and benefits away from them??? They worked for those wages and benefits all those years!!! Anybody would do the same. These are not gifts, they were promised these benefits since they start teaching. So you didn't convince me at all that you don't hate teachers.

By the way, no matter what your masters have indoctrinated you with, unions are not some alien separate entity. It's a collective of workers in this case teachers. The teachers are the union. A union is American democracy at it's best. Teachers vote for leaders to represent them, and that's their union!! Oh did I hear heard you gasp at that?? I know your gang hates democracy, because it gives everybody equal power, not just power to your billionaire Plutocrats!!!!

"Republican governors that cut funds for schools, that ends up laying off teachers."
..Funds are cut because the state can;t afford it. The layoffs are not a result of the cuts but the restrictive union contracts. Gov Doyle cut funding for schools in 2010. Result massive layoffs. The Walker cuts did not lead to massive layoffs. In fact the majority of districts have added; classes, teachers, staff, and still posted savings.

"You call retiring teachers greedy, because they took their rightful benefits instead of staying to teach." If the teachers were as dedicated to teaching as we are led to believe, they would have continued to teach. The fact that they take a retirement thinking that the size of their benefit package will not be as lavish as the unions finagled out of the schools. Working for wages & benefits also reveals them as not as dedicated teachers as touted. Same thing happened in the Milwaukee county board when they got a huge benefit package. As soon as that got changed a bunch retired. The fact that the teachers all still have jobs and there are even more is proof that the claimed hate is a construct of the left for the purpose of making people feel bad for the "poor put upon" teachers. As well as demonizing the people that are working to prevent the collap...

You think that no matter the cost to the state that the unions should be able to force the state to capitulate to the unions demands, and allow the unions to STAEL money from the state.

Sorry child I call no man master! Unions are not some alien entity, but they are succubi. Unions are no longer a collective of workers. Were that the case the public unions would not be bleeding members in WI. One, at least, lost 2/3 of its members. Clearly they are not pleased with what the union is "doing" for them.

"Oh did I hear heard you gasp at that?? I know your gang hates democracy, because it gives everybody equal power, not just power to your billionaire Plutocrats!!!!" This is nothing more than a polemic!

There is no way in Hell Brown would do that to his base. Maybe we should just give California back to Mexico since half the population is already there.

AFP (Americans for Prosperity) released a video listing these agencies about a year ago, can't find it. AFP should re-release it.
