"The findings of the report indicate that LGBT people face widespread discrimination everywhere in the world and are subjected to extreme violence, including rape, beatings and torture, evidenced by confirmed reports of mutilation and castration that were characterized by a “high degree of cruelty,” including forcible rape of lesbians, a notorious activity by anti-gay men in South Africa.
LGBT persons also face criminal punishment in 76 countries and risk capital punishment in five countries, including Iran, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen. The report lays out the evidence of widespread discrimination and arbitrary arrests and criminal punishment based upon sexual orientation and gender identity."

"These are the results of a recent investigation by Concordia University into the positive and negative effects environment can have on the mental health of LGB youth. For the study, researchers examined homophobia, both in one's environment and internally, in the form of self-loathing for one's sexual orientation.
The researchers found that internalized homophobia was more prevalent in LGB youth that engaged in arguments over their sexual identity or were the victims of bullying and discrimination. In addition, their production of the stress hormone cortisol was higher than in their peers.
This increase in cortisol was also linked to increased symptoms of depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. However, protective factors, such as social support from parents and peers led the LGB youth to feel more accepted. In addition, those with a stronger support system showed fewer signs of depression."
And oh, I can go on and post more links proving that it is in fact dangerous to be homosexual in America, or anywhere in the world! But again, it's not dangerous for the reasons these homophobic people think it is, it's dangerous because of them and because of their influence.

of course i live in GA so i've heard of that sort of dimwitted talk before.
Smoking not only kills people who do smoke it, but kills people who don't.
Being Homosexual has never killed any one, maybe made other dimwitted people uncomfortable, but there isn't any one who can say, "Your gay gave me cancer!"

Go ahead and Google CDC stats on HIV.
There's nothing humorous or satirical about it.
74% of all HIV cases are from male/male relationships. That's scary as Hell.
No thanks.
