Jacksonville Police: Child Drowns In Swimming Pool

Jacksonville, NC police are investigating the drowning of a one and half year old child Saturday night.
Police were called to a home on Commons Drive around 6:35
p.m. to a report of a child found unresponsive after being found in a
swimming pool.
The child was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Police are calling the drowning an accident.
Police say the incident remains under investigation and there is no additional information to release at this time.
