I've never heard MSNBC claim to be unbiased. Have U?

A poll today asked why MSNBC claims to be unbiased. I've never heard them say that.
We all know they are biased to the left, just as Fox is biased to the right. MSNBC doctors things just as Fox does (removing applause from videos).

If you want unbiased you need to go outside America. BBC, Al Jazeera or read the Economist. It ain't hard. For those who expect American news channels to be unbiased you're looking in the wrong place.
You!

I've never heard them claim it. It certainly never appears in their station logo like other "Fair & Balanced" News Organizations where the spin supposedly stops.

I see you also are still frequenting this place also. Nice to see a familiar face (or, ummm, screen name).

To answer your question though, unbiased is not something any media outlet is. For that matter, it is not something any human being is. That being the case, all journalists generally have to work with on any network is credibility. MSNBC is not very noteworthy because their bias is exactly what you would expect it to be. Most media, just like academia, is overwhelmingly left. MSNBC is just slightly more brazenly left that the norm.

If we are to measure credibility by something tangible like audience share and percentages, MSNBC fails miserably.

I agree. But the US news is more biased (0ne way or the other) than other countries' news.
We need to do something about that.................

I do read the BBC sometimes also, and my only major problem with it is that their journalists tend to be much more grandiose and sensational in their writing style than their AP counterparts here in the U.S. They can make an old lady crossing the street sound like the media event of the decade.

I prefer the rather dry, but much more direct, writing of the Wall Street Journal.
