"Mr President, you worked so hard to build a world coalition to meet
this immediate threat," said Peres. "You started, rightly, with economic
sanctions. You made it clear -- rightly, again -- that all options are
on the table. Clearly, we support you and your policy."~~ Shimon Peres

President Barack Obama formally bestowed the nation's highest civilian
honor — the Presidential Medal of Freedom -- on visiting Israeli
President Shimon Peres late Wednesday. Peres thanked Obama and said
Israel supports his policy on Iran.
Guests at a gala dinner in Peres's honor included Israeli Ambassador to
Washington Michael Oren, Bill and Hillary Clinton, former secretary of
state Madeleine Albright, as well as Holocaust survivor and author Elie
Wiesel. Dalia Rabin, daughter of slain Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak
Rabin, was also present.
Peres invoked the memory of Nazi Germany's efforts to exterminate
European Jews, and warned that in a new age "the danger is today
concentrated in Iran," whose leaders "bring darkness to a world longing
for light."

Peres is giving Obama cover to improve his chances of re-election.
Benjamin Netanyahu is the actual Israeli PM and he does not approve of Obama's handling of Iran along with any other intellectually honest person who stands against international jihad.
Median age in Iran is 26 years, so they have a LOT of young people, and massive radical change is always possible. It's an interesting game, but potentially very bloody. :O\
I don't know Netenyahu's heart but I have not seen his actions as forwarding the cause of peace between the Palestinians and the Israeli's. Furthermore, I believe if the Israeli's fail to achieve peace with their neighbors in the next two decades, Israel is unlikely to exist at the end of the 21st century.
As for Obama, I believe he seeks to protect American interests which are not the same a Israeli interests and given the American deficit, I don't think we can afford to continue to subsidize the state of Israel.
