Congress should be ashamed, but they're not. They don't care what they burden the taxpayer with. An absolutely shameless bunch.

Bohner did right but he made mistake by not telling why. Barrel of porks should not be included in relief bill. Christie yelled unfair without checking out why in first place
    Sad!

Boy where was this comment when we had to pay for poor people in south after Katrina, Irine, the BP disaster, the drought etc.....?
I'm with GOVERNOR CHRISTIE on this one.

    And just thinking-
Why don't we make LA, AK, TX. MS, FL pay us back for all that free money we sent them in the 2000's?

I understand 9 billion just voted on was for flood relief. So I don't know what pork their could be if the whole 9 billion was to pay for people who have flood insurance. The rest of the 60 billion which hasn't been voted on I would have to see if that has any pork. Of course pork could be in the eye of the beholder. A lot of the right wing didn't even want to pay for anything for Sandy. Now that is downright hypocritical, since many of these congress people were screaming for federal help when their locality was hit with tornadoes and floods, now since the disaster was somewhere else they vote against relief. Typical right wing hypocracy!!!!

That was another bill that the House produced. They did not vote on the other bill is was tabled in the house. The Senate is trying to introduce it again. It is $51 billion and still full of pork.

The question on this post was pork in the Sandy relief bill. It didn't specify it was for only one part of the of the relief bill. So I assume they meant both bills. Also you and they do not specify what pork is in these 2 bills. Until you can, I can't take this serious!!!!

The bill that first came to the House from the Senate was for $60 billion dollars. The House rejected that bill do to all the pork in it. They signed a bill for $9 billion for immediate relief and that passed. The Senate was working on a bill that is for another $51 billion. The House has already said they will not support this bill as it is half pork.

Here is the article that is missing here: http://dailycaller.com/2013/0...

The house never even voted on the Senate bill so they didn't reject it. That is why the country raised hell because Boner didn't even put it up for a vote.

Aaahh, congress decides what goes into these bills. So the administration has nothing to do with it except sign the bill that congress has voted on. Maybe you meant the House of Representatives. In case of that I agree with you that whole bunch are evil!!!

But it's NOT sad that Boehner pulled the relief part of the bill out and got it voted on last Friday.

I hope Congress deals equally effectively with the pork.
