Lauren Odes says she was recently fired from a lingerie store for being "too hot," and now she's got Gloria Allred representing her. The busty 29-year-old claims she was asked to wear a bathrobe and tape down her breasts just a couple of days into the job. She complied with the bathrobe part, but refused to tape down her breasts, and was promptly fired, ABC Reports.

Forbes compares the case to Samantha Brick's awkward April article in The Daily Mail, in which the mediocre-at-best woman claimed women hated her for being beautiful. Odes is certainly chesty, but not exactly what you'd call a dime. She's currently filing a lawsuit against her former employers, claiming "religious and gender discrimination." But does her story even make sense?

But apparently hot enough to be hired. Failure to take direction on the first day is usually not conducive to longevity. They have a product to sell and tney want a certain 'look'. It's called a biz formula for which she was not authorized to determine for them. Her job was to bring the looks she was hired for and then STFU and be grateful she even had a job.

In pretty much any other profession, sure, she would have a case. But when your job is to look a very certain way for the camera, then its not discrimination to fire you for how you look. We oppose discrimination because things like looks don't affect how you do your job. But if your job IS to look a certain way, then that sort of discrimination does not apply.

Looks do not effect one's ability to sell--or at least, they shouldn't. I wonder if that was really the reason they fired her? If so, it is a pathetic reason.

I disagree with the way SH wrote this. Comparing Lauren Odes to Samantha Brick is hardly justified. Samantha Brick thinks she's God's Gift to Humankind and anyone who says otherwise is just jealous -- Ms. Odes just happens to have large breasts (and bad makeup, and hair, etc). If you read other articles and not just this pathetic summary, nowhere does she ever claim that she, personally, thinks she was "too hot," but rather she was told she was by her employer; those were not her words. Besides, this isn't a "Hot or Not" issue (personally, she's a bit too large to be wearing the clothing she is) -- a woman shouldn't be told to tape down her breasts and be forced to wear a bathrobe at work.

If the case has Gloria Allred's name on it, judges should automatically know it's something stupid, trivial, and frivolous. Allred is an idiot. Nearly all her clients have cases with no merit. Notice, I said "nearly." There may be a few that merit attention. Nonetheless, nearly all her cases are fighting for clueless women who society or someone always, in Gloria's mind, owes them money. She's like a female version of all the race-baiting dumbass liberal lawyers trying to get reparations for blacks, and thousands of dollars for all blacks because they could have been farmers, or whatever!

When Gloria is in court, a smart judge would begin with the words "dismissed."

She is attractive but not stunningly beautiful or anything - unless there's more to the story then we are being told and maybe she was dressing too provocatively - I can't see it. If they did ask her to tape her breasts, though, I don't blame her for not complying. They had to know she was busty when they hired her - and you shouldn't need to tape body parts before going to work.

In the news story, they was showing her shopping for dresses that was less busty more covered up. You would be surprised how intimidated some women feel next to a woman that has big melons.
I would love to find out exactly who was behind her firing after two days on the job; was her boss a man or woman, inquiring minds would like to know who's behind the boob hatin'

I hear you - I was reading somewhere that the store owners were religious and maybe they had a stricter view and wanted her dressed more conservatively..but it's a lingerie store? so the whole thing doesn't really make sense..and someone on here was saying that she wasn't actually an employee but was sent by a temp service - I dunno - I think Gloria Allred, though, sensationalizes everythingggg...lol
