The only reservation I have with this is.....what if whoever put the flags up, did not know that putting them up in that order was illegal...just a thought.

He did the right thing. Now Americans need to protest the business so it looses it's customers. Maybe he'll move back to the Mexico he's so proud of.

You should have the right to do whatever you want and fly the flag however you want to. So no, I don't think what he did was right. And the fact that it's illegal to fly the flag how you want violates the 1st amendment AND just makes big government bigger, like conservatives so claim to hate.
He's(the owner of the Mexican flag) more proud to be a Mexican than he is to be an American, does that really bother some people so deeply that they will trespass and go onto private property with the intent of cutting the Mexican Flag down?
I'm sure you'll chastise me for saying this, but I'm far more proud to be an Okie than I am to be an American. That's the way the founding fathers meant it to be. The founding fathers founded the UNITED States of America as a Union, not a country. Each state is SUPPOSED to have more power than the federal government. This country was more or less founded to be what the European Union is.

No chastizing from me. I'm just glad there is another person here who understands what freedom actually means and better, who understands that freedom isn't a gift from the government.

I'm getting tired of the "free speech" argument when it is being used to insult Americans that have been way too tolerant of others when some immigrants don't appreciate what America does for them. For free speech they need to go back to their countries and try having free speech.

I did not know that flag ceremony was a matter of law, especially since it is legal to burn the flag as a protest.

I applaud his patriotic sentiment, but I know that theft IS illegal.

No flag flies above the nation's flag -- in ANY country that I know of.

In the Olympics the Gold Medal winner stands above the others -- and his/her flag is raised higher too.

But that is not law, that is custom.

Not an American, I don't live in your country but totally agree with what he did. To fly another nations flag above yours in your own country is an insult. Plain and simple.

If anyone flew another nations flag over my flag(Canadian) in Canada I would rip that flag down also.

I was behind the guy till you said that. Now I'm at odds with his actions. I'm a libertarian so those rights are very dear to me and I didn't even think about the Mexicans freedom of speech when I saw the video. I just voted from a knee jerk reaction.You have shamed me. :(

It's not a matter of freedom of speech. It's a matter of law. No other county on the planet allows the flag of another nation to fly above their own. In times of war it is a sign of defeat. In times of peace it is disrespect for the host nation. And last I checked the owner didn't say a word.
