Four more years of Obama will destroy what the United States has stood for for the last 250 years, freedom, responsibility, self respect, honor, and freedom.

It can help us avoid it this time. We can never again become complacent. We must go from one election to concentrating on the next or we will face that iceberg over and over.

It's beginning to look like this more and more each day. It has become imperative that we get the lying socialist traitor Obama out of office and that we must get ovomitcare repealed by any means necessary.

I am the eternal optimist and idealist, always looking for the silver lining, expecting people to do the right thing; but I am very much inclined to think that if the Zer0-bama gets 4 more years, that will be the end of America as it has been known: land of the free, leader of the free world, a country where anyone can succeed if they are willing to put in the work to do so, etc.

Whether by becoming America's 1st dictator or by completing his plans to bankrupt us entirely so we become another failed nanny state, 4 more years of 0bama will be the end of the American dream.

Some may call him an iceberg, I prefer robot, but I think Romney may run again. This might not be the last chance to avoid him. Hopefully, we'll pass right by him this November.

No, we skidded past the iceberg in 2008. There's been some choppy water since then, but our skipper's doing a good job of navigating so far.

That's the wonderful thing about America... you don't have to agree with me that he's doing a good job. You get to vote in a few months whether to put someone else in the pilot's chair and so do I.

"And I will remind you if you see some of your Obama lover friends who want to do something more drastic"

Such as? I don't see a lot of Obama voters threatening to kill anyone or start an armed insurrection against the duly constituted government of the United States.

I see lots of liberal protests that have turned extremely violent and disrespectful. The Occupy movement is a good example of that. While as an example of the right the Tea Party has been much more peaceful and respectful.

You can have your opinion of the right and I can have my opinion of the left. Fact is both sides have their radicals. You may fear for this country from the right. But I fear will happen when Obama loses.
  • Heptarch ☆Wartho... 2012/07/03 21:16:54

I fear the attitude of the right wing because they've begun to see the country, and the world, in a completely black and white way where anyone who doesn't agree with them is the enemy, not a friend who disagrees.
  • ☆Wartho... Heptarch 2012/07/03 22:20:41

And I see the left as taking what I have worked hard for my whole life. Then giving it to those haven't even tried to make it on their own. Mooching is their only way. Opportunity has been there. The "American Way".

I do not claim that the right is always right. But I see their vision of America much nearer to my vision. The socialist leanings of the left scare the snot out of me.

I do not believe that the right will revolt if Obama wins. I can see riots if Romney wins.

"Then giving it to those haven't even tried to make it on their own."

You're painting a wide variety of people with a very narrow brush. Most of the people who use public assistance or other social programs are not generational users. They're real Americans who've suffered a grave setback (or series of them) in their lives and are using the safety net as it was designed. Calling them lazy mooches doesn't prove your point. In fact, it just makes you look like a heartless jerk.

"I do not claim that the right is always right. But I see their vision of America much nearer to my vision. The socialist leanings of the left scare the snot out of me. "

Thankfully this country is such that neither extreme will gain complete dominance over the other, though that's certainly what the right wing wants. We succeed as a nation because, up to now, we've acknowledged that both sides have valid, workable ideas consisten with the American way of life.

Now right wingers have come to believe that nothing except what they agree with is consistent with America. That's what is dangerous. Not Socialism. But extremism.
