If you're thinking the Mayans your wrong. They date back to 4,000 years ago. Like we do today they have calenders though they had three main ones The Tzolkin, it didn't last very long, hardly a year. The Haab which is 365 days and the Long Count which lasts about 5,000 years. Though they were an advanced civilization it is impossible for them to decide that the world will end several thousand years into the future. Besides, all calenders have to end to start over. That's why when we hit December, we move to January. When the Long Count ends it starts over again.
If you think Yellowstone National park then you should worry. However it has erputed three times before i think at something like 2.6 and1.3 million years ago and i believe 650,000 years ago. So if we were around as long
as fossils and science tell us then we survived as neanderthals then we can survive today as more advanced than we were then.
There are other theories such as a Pole Switch (north becoming south and vice versa) and some are going as far as to say climates will change but the earths magnetic field has nothing to do with the troposphere.
ok, sure. i'm just saying that there isn't a set day that the world is going to end. where is the world's expiration tag? why the hell would i believe something as stupid as that?
I wanted to say undecided because people have predicted the end of the world all through time. Anyone remember the Y2K thing? The world was going to end because of a computer glitch. I woke up on Jan 1st 2000 quite disappointed actually. I really don't see any more proof than that the world will end in 2012 just based off past experience.
