Politics got personal on Wednesday when Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen accused Mitt Romney's wife, Ann Romney, of having "never worked a day in her life." It moved Mrs. Romney to send her first tweet ever ("I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work"), setting off a debate over the decision to work or stay home. But The Christian Science Monitor is calling it a "fake" debate.
Ann told Fox News, "[Rosen] should have come to my house when those five boys were causing so much trouble, it wasn’t so easy. My career choice was to be a mother. And I think all of us need to know that we need to respect the choices that women make. Other women make other choices to have a career and raise a family, which I think Hilary Rosen has actually done herself. I respect that, that's wonderful... We have to respect women in all those choices that they make."
But Rosen is sticking to her guns, and responded to the criticism in a CNN editorial: "I have no judgments about women who work outside the home versus women who work in the home raising a family. I admire women who can stay home and raise their kids full time. I even envy them sometimes. It is a wonderful luxury to have the choice. But let's stipulate that it is not a choice that most women have in America today." We're not sure if Hilary Rosen or Ann Romney wins this debate, but that's not really the point. Do you think these kinds of feuds are real -- or just manufactured to get a vote in politics?

You can also get ready for Obama to start pulling away with double digits. Every time Romney opens his mouth he insults another voting segment of this country. Did you see his latest gaffe - too good to eat the "7-Eleven" cookies at a sit-down with middle-class workers. Of course - the cookies came from a Landmark bakery in that area. The entire area is outraged. Why couldn't he have just said - how nice for them to provide cookies and lemonade for us. Thanks. But - his elitist mentality doesn't allow for that.
Please go away President Obama, it's someone else's turn, you've done enough damage!!!
I impressed, you seem to have a real grasp of the ugliness the left morons are using to attack the Republicans...The Dems can't run on their dismal record and their President is
so out of touch with literally every aspect of government they attack beautiful women like Ann Romney...Just go away Obama, leave our country alone...
Rosen didn't criticize Mrs Romney for being a stay at home mom. That is a fabrication invented by the the GOP and the Right Wing Media. She was criticized for not having worked a day in her life at a paying job. That woman has no idea how $2.50 a week could mean the difference between feeding your kids or not. She has no idea what it's like to worry if you have enough to pay for the rent, the electric bill, and still have money left for child care and/or food.
She worked in the house? Even then, it rings false, as she had maids, and nannies. I'm sure she did some things, all the sweet easy things, like reading bed time stories, but you don't have nannies and maids then claim you worked so hard to raise your boys. Maybe she thought ordering the help around was hard work? *I* worked hard. *I* worked two jobs, and cooked, cleaned, sewed, fixed the car myself, repaired household appliances. Ann Romney didn't.

Now.. let me ask you.. how much of your time do you devote to helping others??
See we are not all blessed with the same opportunity in life.. because she has money is nothing to do with her values and her worth as a Mom and citizen in her community and even wider.. state and now country.. She could be sitting on her butt at home watching TV like a lot of folks.. she chooses to be active and involved and devote time and money to helping her community and state.. Where would we be in this country without all the people like Ann Romney who choose to be good citizens and reach out to others who are not so affluent ? She has every reason to devote her time to her own pleasures but she devotes her time to good causes instead.. You liberals need to give credit when it's due.. but I won't hold my breath on that.
Now I just wonder who/what will be the NEXT dust cloud the WH is going to send up to keep the media/populace busy while Obama thinks up some other tactic to try to convince voters he actually has done something worthwhile the last 3 1/2 years...
The context was a job. You know going to work and such? Well that canceled out a good part of your rambling paragraph.
>I'm sure she knows the prices of groceries, clothing, vehicle upkeep (Gas), maintainin a home..(and it's a very large, nice home).
Multimillionaires have other people do those things. The only reason she'd know is she memorized them in case someone pops her a question.
>and our nations economy.
Proof?
>Now I just wonder who/what will be the NEXT dust cloud the WH
Is there anything Obama isn't behind? The Lindberg baby? The fall of Rome? Again, proof?
My new mantra? Vote GOP and kill the middle class for good.
just some of the things that Ann Romney involves herself in besides raising 5 sons..

If you agree with them then you will appreciate what the Republicans are doing.
However, if you like women to get equal pay, and have choices in their birth control then you will find it offensive.
Either way the laws the Republicans are pushing are of their own doing and not directed by the Democrats.
In the Obama administration:
According to whitehouse.gov
The average median wage for women is $60,000 per year.
The average media wage for men is $71,000 per year.
Boy, you voting for a democrat sure makes you look ignorant doesn't it?
