Is the leftwing media bias obvious in the way that they have handled the gas price crisis under Bush as opposed to the way they look at gas prices under the Obama Presidency?

In this video politicians say that George Bush is actually in bed with the oil companies and conspiring with them because gas prices have doubled. They used the claim that Bush and Chaney were corrupt because of gas prices to seize political power. Now that they have more than doubled again under Obama the media has actually created lists of why higher gas prices are good for us. And in a clip Obama is laughing hysterically because someone doesn't drive a hybrid.

Of course, they are ... proven many times over. It's not on purpose, just where most of the media folks have come from and been taught in college.

Just this morning, Soledad O'Brien (CNN) complained Romney should have taken the birthers straight on, like McCain. She quoted her mother, that you are like those that associate with you. SAY WHAT Soledad, what about names like Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and his Harvard day. Just typical.

Less supply on the market drives prices up. Clinton and Bush made things easier to bring oil and gas to market resulting in lower prices. Obama is constantly putting up barriers to production, lowering market supply and pushing speculators to bet there will be low supply, ergo, higher prices.

edit: Because of Bush/Clinton's actions, gas prices to heat homes are falling dramatically, up to 50% in the northeast. But not due to Obama, he's lessened production by EPA regulations, cancellation of leases, and denying permits offshore.

You are either avoiding the question or don't know the answer:-

So why did gas prices reach a higher level under George Bush than Obama?

Did George have a vested interest in manipulating prices?

Was George Bush President in 1928? I'm talking about why prices where high in 2007. Today worldwide demand is off and we are not starting as much exploration. Also 0 has supported a weak Dollar policy, while Bush was for a stronger Dollar.

The reread it. What isn't clear about it. Bush + Great economy + high employment = high gas prices

0 + terrible economy+ high unemployment + regulatory hammer = high gas prices.

    It really is that simple.

I answered your question, "Less supply on the market drives prices up. " The answer to your second question is "No, Bush had no interest in manipulating prices," Oil is an international commodity, the only way to manipulate price is to create a shortage, Bush never did that, Obama is deliberately doing that.

It's not an opinion, it's a fact. Obama has been canceling oil leases, to wit "Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Exxon Mobil Corp., the largest publicly traded oil company, settled its lawsuit against U.S. Interior Secretary Kenneth Salazar over the government’s decision to ***cancel offshore leases*** that may yield “billions of barrels of oil.”

Last month all the east coast lease auctions were postponed for FIVE YEARS, that should put a crimp in supply, which is exactly what self proclaimed "progressives" want.

It is simple task to demonstrate that prices did not remain at $1.89 throughout George Bush’s presidency, just google it!

Believe it or not there are some honest Christians who are also Republicans; they would not support your lie!

You may be a Republican, but you are certainly not a Christian or anything which indicates honesty!

THIS IS JUST ONE SITE GOOGLE IT FOR YOURSELF AND I WILL GUARANTEE THAT YOU CAN NOT FIND A SINGLE SITE WHICH SUPPORTS YOUR CLAIM THAT PUMP PRICES REMAINED AT $1.89 THROUGHOUT GEORGE BUSH'S PRESIDENCY!

    THAT IS SIMPLY A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!

“Even as Republican Mitt Romney continues to chide President Barack Obama over gas prices, Americans head into the Memorial Day weekend, the traditional start of the vacation season, with gas prices not only lower than they were last year but lower than they were four years ago.

On Memorial Day weekend 2008, with Republican George W. Bush in the White House, gasoline prices for the United States were about $3.88 a gallon, rising toward a high of $4.12 a gallon in mid-July 2008. That compares to about $3.68 a gallon today and $3.81 a gallon one year ago.

In other words, when compared to four years ago, the Obama administration has not presided over a dramatic increase in gasoline prices as Romney, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, has suggested. Indeed, there has been a drop from where prices were under Bush in summer 2008.

What a chart of the average gas prices does show, however, is that a far bigger factor in gasoline prices is the strength of the world economy. In May and July 2008, global business was still churning along – facing mounting problems but with few foreseeing the catastrophe just over the horizon.

After the Wall Street crash of September 2008, economic growth fell off a cliff – and so did gasoline prices. By year’s end, gas prices were down to about $1.61 a gallon. From there, they began a slow climb back along with the world’s economy.

Gas prices also have reflected international tensions especially in the oil-rich Middle East. For instance, Israel’s saber-rattling over Iran’s nuclear program earlier this year contributed to a spike in global oil prices and thus what Americans paid at the pump. As those war fears have receded in recent weeks, so have gas prices, down from about $3.87 a gallon to today’s $3.68.

Nevertheless, Romney still brings up gasoline prices in his stump speeches, arguing that President Obama hasn’t done enough to keep prices low. However, if that’s true of Obama, it was also true of George W. Bush on Memorial Day 2008.”
