The feds have jurisdiction on matters of national defense (i.e., the borders). Once an immigrant gets here, however, their job/jurisdiction is limited to setting uniform rules of NATURALIZATION. It becomes the STATES' responsibility to determine their legal status. If California wants to harbor all the immigrants from our south, LET THEM.

Neighboring states should take note, however, and plan accordingly.

Let them commit federal crimes is what you are saying in essence, since it is indeed a federal felony crime to harbor illegal aliens. How about if we replace the pro-illegals Obama administration with Romney's instead? See:

When federal law goes beyond constitutional bounds, is it a good or a bad thing to ignore federal law? While you're pondering that 200+year old controversy, consider:

I'm all FOR replacing Obama with just about anybody--WITH the understanding that Romney's not much of a choice. Paul WOULD have been, but 'conservatives' wanted no part of Paul. Frankly, he wasn't belligerent enough. Conservatives just GOTTA have their wars/police states. Remember the TSA and how upset everybody is to be groped at the airport? Guess who set that up? :-)

Let California pass this stupidity, but the moment one dime of taxpayer is disbursed to any illegal alien, the US Marines should surround the California Assembly Building, arrest and jail (pending a hearing before a federal magistrate) the law makers for passing this insanity...oh wait a minute, the current lawless DOJ would most likely sue the citizens of California, take thier homes, bank accounts and other real property, and give it to the illegals.

Not only Unconstitutional , further it is criminal .
Starting with the Potus , the Supreme Court and the Congress they pay no heed to the constitution or law any longer.

The country has to be protected from foreign invaders and so does the state of Ca. They are criminals and the fact the California Governor and legislation is stupid enough to want to turn the state into a playground for criminals makes me sick. I live here, the state is bankrupt, and liberal insanity like this still goes on.
