Need an option for none of the above. The Earth has always went through normal patterns of hot and cold having seasons where it's more severe than "normal". To claim it is through man made anything is a way to make us feel guilty. The same patterns occured in the 1600's when there were no evil SUV's or factories to blame, maybe it was caused by the flatulence of livestock of the time period...
Let's see what the "Godfather of Climate Change" has to say about it. James Lovelock's studies and theories were the inspiration for Al Gore's movement: http://www.torontosun.com/201.... In a nutshell he said "It’s now clear the doomsday predictions, including his own (and Al Gore’s) were incorrect. He responds to attacks on his revised views by noting that, unlike many climate scientists who fear a loss of government funding if they admit error, as a freelance scientist, he’s never been afraid to revise his theories in the face of new evidence."
Well, that the other two answers are bogus. As Global Anything is a Scientific Farce created by using false computer models. It think it has a lot more to do with Mother Nature, and the Natural wonders of this Earth.
I'm not falling for your global warming denial scam. That seems to bother you, for some reason. You don't work for an oil company's propaganda team do you, by any chance? They don't like people who can think for themselves.
The fact that you refuse to discuss anything that involves facts or rational thought is rather revealing. It shows that you *know* global warming denial is a scam, but don't want to admit it. You know that if we had a discussion of the facts, you would lose, because the science of AGW is well enough established that there is no realistic chance of it being fundamentally wrong. The research now is about the details, not the fact that it's happening.
What a world we live in when people give as much weight to poorly written blog posts written by unqualified people as they do to genuine peer reviewed scientific papers!
He even used the classic line - "There has been no statistically significant warming of the planet since 1995"

The extreme weather that the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing is all mainly due to changes in the Jet Stream, the questions are that how natural is this and what caused it?
I'm inclined to believe the real scientists, they have predicted an increase in extreme weather and I think that this is a part of that.
Well there is no global cooling so it's certainly not caused by that... but you're asking the wrong question. What we want to know is this: Is the climate changing? The answer is yes:
I've noticed the same shifting: summer to fall to winter to spring and then the cycle is repeated. Awaken, America. In 1957, I noticed that we had very little snow. It would warm up and there were deep footprints in the now frozen mud. Still, little or no snow. The next year was replete with deep snow and many storms. I guess the earth was trying to decide if it was going to warm or cool. Then the earth said, "I know!!! I'll call it climate change." I sure am glad we had a little global warming to melt off those glaciers that rolled over what is now NY City. They'll be back, someday.
There's a pretty straightforward cause and effect relationship going on here. Greenhouse gases have increased dramatically because of human activity:
...which has turned a long slow natural cooling trend into rapid global warming:
This was predicted well over 100 years ago by the first scientists to consider the effects of human greenhouse gas pollution on the climate, and now we see it happening.
So there is no realistic debate about the cause; what matters now is how bad it's going to get, and how soon. That depends, to a certain extent, on how we react to it.
Look you dip, you're talking to Americans, the Smartest Race of People ever developed by the Republican Party in the history of world who knew this was a plot before it even started. Got it.
Don't listen to him. I think you've got it right but we're on a question with too many know-it-all people in denial. By the time these people recognize that we have a problem, it will be too late. Too bad the rest of us will have to suffer too.
Not undecided, just a NO to either selection. I remember in the 70's that there was a prediction of global cooling and freezing of the oceans by 2020. I yawned then as I do now with global warming. And when that doesn't fit the model, it's even worse; climate change. Silly putty couldn't be more malleable than their approach to science.
I'm sure that was the cause, LOL!!
