Is the 'Anyone But Obama' Tactic Smart or Silly?

If you think Mitt Romney is President Obama's only hurdle in the upcoming election, you're wrong. It's Mitt Romney, and... pretty much anyone with $2,500. In Tuesday's West Virginia Democratic primary, inmate Keith Judd trailed by just 18%. That's right, inmate. As in, behind bars. One West Virginia voter explained, "I voted against Obama ... I don't like him. He didn't carry the state before and I'm not going to let him carry it again." So, he voted for Judd. Or, as he put it, "That guy out of Texas."

A little more about Judd. According to Politico, Judd has run for president in every election since 1996, and actually finished third in the 2008 Idaho Democratic primary with 1.7 percent of the vote. He's a former Hollywood musician who claims to be a "Rastafarian-Christian," and lists Richard Nixon as his favorite president because "he got us out of Vietnam, and began world peace with China and the Soviets." Sounds pretty solid. But we've got to ask: Is the "anyone but Obama" tactic a good idea?

Any one is better than him. The only people that are worse is terrorists. Obama wants to be a dictator and nothing more. He would be already if it weren't for the Constitution, which he's secretly trying to get rid of.

Unbelievably stupid. And I'm sure 4 years ago they'd love to attribute this to liberals. Because as I recall, that's how we got Obama. And guess what, as it is, you're gonna get another Obama of a different color!
    Liberals will LOVE Mitt.

That type of thinking would put an idiot like Romney in the Oval Office.

Just another dumb tactic by the right wing. Romney is totally out of touch with the average hard working American. Romney's good for the 1% but not for the rest of us.

Im surprised that so many people agree with me that it's silly. Because lately all I've heard is, " A vote for _____ is a vote for Obama!"

No, a vote for Obama is a vote for Obama. I'm an American and I'll vote for the candidate that represents MY views.

    Ron Paul

"Silly" is a kind word. I would apply it to young kids doing a mock vote in grammar school class based on what they've heard on TV. Adults should know by now that 'evil', lesser tho it may seem to be, has never and can never lead to any good. It is not silly anymore. It is idiotic, damning to all America, and downright insane.

I admit it is pretty -u-k-n' silly. There are a lot better choices than romney. Unfortunately, he's what we're stuck with. In '08 barry ran pretty much in the center. He was unknown really unknown no real record and those that should be opened have been sealed. But obummer was a fresh face, he's black, and he has a "d" after his name the liberal media, academic elitist, the brain-dead holliweird actors, and the liberal socialist drones could not ask for nothing better. Plus those that thought it would be historic having the first black prez. Now barry has a dismal record of failure and many have woke up to this America hating, anti-business, corporate socialist who wants nothing more than to turn America into a third world country..................

So if whoever running against barry at least likes the USA .......ANYONE BUT OBUMMER!

Exactly why few would vote for Romney. His middle name is cheat. Why else do you think he got the name flip flopper? He's "cheating" by constantly changing positions depending on which way the political winds are blowing. Romeny would be the perfect president the for 1% crowd... he's one of them. For everyone else, or 99% of the population, Romney would be a bigger disaster than either Bush or Carter. The absolute two worst presidents of all time.

You forgot to mention THE wors president, Obama andRomney is at least soembody who has experience in the business world, running a country is not unlike runnung a business, he may not, is not the best but, as said anything is better then what we have now

No, it is just as running a business, balance the income with the expenditures and, indeed make a profit. Profit which can be used to better the infrastructure and maybe bail out WITHOUT extra cost to the taxpyer.

    Comparatively speaking... abso-friggin'-lutely.

Obama make this guy look like George WASHINGTON.
  • Mr. Won... Hamilton 2012/05/16 14:08:24
    Mr. Wonderful
Actually George Washington was a putz. He simply gets credit because he was the first. A few things you probably don't know about old George.

    1. He had a net worth of over $525,000, which is huge in 18th century dollars.

    2. He had over 8,000 acres of prime farmland.

    3. He "owned" 277 slaves to work the 8 farms on those acres..

Most revealing about his "character" is he paraded up and down in his military uniform trying to win the role of president because for sure Washington was stuck-up primadonna and fat cat with an excessively high opinion of himself. Sounds like today's right winger.

Oh, one more thing, while the dollar amount was smaller of course Washington's salary eat a big hole in the federal budget. A whopping 2% for the "father of the country".
