As an original fan of V, I was super jazzed about this show. However, the point made in this poll is extremely valid, and it makes me like V even more.

I totally agree with you. I especially noticed the way everybody was accepting them without question because of their "promises," and the way Anna was manipulating the media. But when the Visitors announced they were introducing universal health care, that was what clinched it.

It worked for Lenin, Stalin Hitler , Mao, Ho Chi Min and Pol Pot, among others. By the time people understood their goals they had too much power to be removed without massive bloodshed.

Lets see. Alien offering change (something for the birthers) living in a socialist society (glenn Beck must love this) offering universal health care with a catch (rush are u listening) and reporters fawning and being forced to ask only positive questions (ok... MSNBC, you get a part too). This show has everything!!!!

Um, V is a remake from the 80's mini-series, so doubtful.

Though I do love that they are releasing it NOW, I just doubt it has anything at all to do with the administration.

p.s. Actually, there are some lunatics believe that Obama is 1000 years - alien plant from Sirius - reptilian. LMAO You have to see it to believe how stupid some people are. LOL (there also Obama-prayer: http://www.miraclesandinspira...)

obama prayer stupid people lol hyper-dimensional election barack obama 2012

    About this "conference":
Hoagland surmised: "Obama's entire election is about making the hidden history of the human race finally unhidden."
Hoagland believes: "that Obama and his team are somehow part of ancient mystery school tradition," he theorized by linking Obama to the Dogon tribe of Africa."

"Hour 2 - Hoagland begins the discussion of the reason he believes Barack Obama has been "in creation" for a 1,000 years." ... & Hoagland finishes with: "Obama has been groomed by a secret order dating from the time of the Pharoahs... and coming from Sirius" ROFLMAO

Where is the "none of the above" option? This series is just a remake of a past mini-series. If anything, it could be an allegory for the Reagan regime. ( V debuted in 1983 ). Or if you want to be more outlandish maybe its an allegory for the Kennedy Administration. ( 1962 To Serve Man, a Twilight Zone episode)

Yes, masquerading as a savior is the best way to deceive the masses

This isn't the first TV series entitled V. However, I watched the video and could easily see your point. It really is difficult to believe, because of the timing, that this case of art imitating life is just coincidental. Especially scary was the interview scene in which the alien representative said to the startled interviewer just prior to the interview beginning, "Just don't ask any questions that would paint us in a negative light". And the part where the actor says in describing the people's reaction to the visitors, "gratitude can turn into worship." WOW!!! That reminds me of a video in which I saw very young school children being encouraged to repeat praises for Obama in class. This is so like the Obama administration, it's frightening. On the other hand, I would not have expected to see ABC or any of the other major networks do something like this knowingly - unless there'a a quiet revolution afoot here and those involved have found a way to turn Obama's media monster against him. If so, cheers for ABC.
